ORYON-16 YEARS OLD

"Zen, Get your lazy ass over here" The monster boomed through his gold-stained teeth.

What the ever-loving fuck were we doing on a military base? Soldiers lined up on all around us, guns that I've only ever seen in movies being held against their chests. They stood firm, awaiting their next order. I waited for any gust of oxygen to come out of them, they looked like statues, zombies with weapons.

Zombies and Devils, the garden of fucking Eden. Whatever.

I looked over to my nameless partner, shaking and scratching his neck. His fear was too obvious, Ventori would choose the weakest first, as he always did. I didn't know the kid, probably fresh meat. Anger flooded my veins; no one cared to put a stop to this fucking system. This fucking madness, all of this was insanity.

Five fucking years have passed of my life and these people couldn't give two shits. Millions of little boys live in their hands to use, produce, experiment, exploit and ultimately kill. Why my body hasn't given up on me yet, I don't get why.

I want too,

I want to die,

so much,

take me,

take me far away. Take me to a better place...

I prayed, prayed knowing fully well it was useless too.

We were put in groups of two. I tried to mimic the cold soldiers and looked straight to the dummies placed In front of us. Wishing I was a snake and I could insert my venom into the necks of every official here.

"Yes, capo?" Zen bowed his head to Ventori. Jesus, these men were pathetic.

"The toys, idiot, bring them now!" and like God bringing light, two minutes later, four tables full of weapons and pistols, AK-47's and countless more that I did not know the name of.

Ventori smiled, sending a chill down my spine. He turned to smile at all of us, analyzing us, daring us with his stare to make one stupid move. None of us did even with the blood in our irises, I had the strength now to be able to choke him to death and yet the fear he imprinted in me, stopped me every time. Tears threatened me, shoving them down, I promised myself to do that when I was alone at night.

"Today, boys, is a great day" he slammed his cane down, causing all the boys around me to jump.... Except me.

"Why is it a great day?" we all asked in unison. The echoes of our dead voices ricocheted.

 "because we serve you"

"Why do you serve me" "

To save our souls" The same mantra that he forced us to repeat, night after night.

"You in the white, come here" Ventori ordered to someone in the vicinity of my left-hand side. White? What the fuck? "Oh right, you are all wearing the same color. White, pure-" He started laughing, humiliating us with the reminder that we were not people anymore, not even numbers, even less animals, to our repugnance, We were his. "Virginal" He walked around, circling us, tailing us.
