Third person POV

The day had finally come. Dudley, of course, received his Hogwarts letter, much to Harry's dismay. Still, Harry did try to be a good sport as he saw his Hufflepuff cousin and unsorted cousin to the Hogwarts express, waving them off with a heavy heart. It pained him more than anything to see his cousins go to the only place he ever wanted to be, and the only place he couldn't go.

Lily's POV

It hurt me so much to see Harry going on a different path to Harriot and Dudley. He was so obviously upset but still put on a smile for them. It makes my heart burst with pride for him.
"Now Harry, remember you'll do good wherever you go. Me and your aunt are so proud of you. Beaxbatons is a fine school, and these robes are amazing." I said. The last part actually provoked a smile from him. He still looked downhearted, so I said, "Harry, your dad would say the same as I am right now; you need to be the strong Griffindor that you are on the inside. I promise that you'll love Beaxbatons, and those French lessons will have payed of. Work hard and do your best, and I promise you'll succeed. Write to me ok baby" I requested, as Harry jumped into the blue silk carriage and flew away into the sky.

Dudley's POV

The inside of the Hogwarts express was packed and manic. Despite mums and aunty lily's requests for Harriot to stay with me at all times, she met up with some of her Hufflepuff friends, and didn't want me embarrassing her, and I didn't want Harriot to get angry, so wandered the halls in search of an empty cabin to sit. I found one with only two people.
"Hello, my name is Dudley Dursly-Black, I'm Harriot Black s younger brother, can I sit here?" I asked.
"You're Harriots brother?! Well of course you can sit here! My older sister, Amanda Abbott, is Harriots best friend, my name is Hannah by the way and this is Neville." Hannah chatted.
I was delighted I had already made new friends. Me, Hannah and Neville chatted away happily all the way to Hogwarts, happy and all thoughts of Harry pushed out of my mind.

Later, when we arrived at Hogwarts, we were met by a large giant man who looked like a giant from one of the story books aunty lily used to read me.
"Firs' years! Firs' years! Where are yeh! I won' bite!" The giant man called, "gather round now! Three to a boat!"
Of course, me, Neville and Hannah choose a boat for ourselves.

Seeing Hogwarts for the first time was the most magical moment in the world. I absolutely love it, and knew that this would be the best experience in the world. I immediately felt sorry for Harry. He had to miss this glorious paradise view! The castles shadows loomed over us, but glowed with warmth and joy.

I started sweating the minute I stepped into the great hall. What if I got Slytherin? Hannah told me awful things about Slytherin. Of course, her older brother was Slytherin, and he was friendly enough, but Harriot was in Hufflepuff. And all of a sudden, an emerald-clad proffeser began calling out names.
"Mortimer Devealone!"
"Gryifinndor!"
"Xeartina Zang!"
"Gryifinndor!"
"Lyla Lovegood!"
"Ravenclaw!"
"Zambini, Blaise!"
"Slytherin!"
"Ronald Weasley!"
"Slytherin!"
"Hermione Granger!"
"Ravenclaw!"
"Dean Thomas!"
"Griffindor!"
"Sally-Anne Perks!"
"Hufflepuff!"
"Terry Boot!"
"Ravenclaw!"
"Verity Moon!"
"Griffindor!"
"Fiona Gaunt!"
"Hufflepuff!"
"Draco Malfoy!"
"Slytherin!"
"Hannah Abbott!"
"Hufflepuff!"
"Neville Longbottom!"
".... Hufflepuff?!"
"Dudley Dursly-Black!"
".... Hufflepuff!"
At that last word, I almost screamed in excitement. I was Hufflepuff! I ran over to sit beside Hannah and Neville, flashing a grin at Harriot. I was home.

I know I put Neville in Hufflepuff and Hermione Granger in Ravenclaw, but remember this is an alternate universe! Also, Lyla Lovegood is Luna's older sister.
