Jaymies POV
I strolled round to Masons house at about half past 9, I picked up a bottle of wine from the off licence. I made my way to Masons house and knocked on the door.
"Wow you're early!" Tammy clapped as I walked into the garden.
"Wow I haven't heard that joke before" I replied sarcastically. An unfortunate trait of mine is that I am never on time.
"You know Ben was actually just asking if you were coming" Christian decided to make it awkward.
"Well at least he listened to my thoughts on hair gel" I looked over to him as he wore he hair all floppy.
"He's out to impress tonight" Mason winked and nudged Ben.
"It takes a lot more then some floppy hair to impress me"
"Go on then Ms Carter" Tammy sat down as if he was interviewing me. "What would it actually take to impress you"
"Errr someone who isn't a footballer to start of with"
"I think you'll end up marrying a footballer you know" Tammy tapped his head. "You're too involved not too"
"I've been there, done that, got the t-shirt. Not again thanks"
"Oh come on Jaymie, you can't let that one time just let you never go near one of us again" Mason piped up.
"Yeah were good guys you know" Christian said.
"Whatever" I rolled my eyes.
I filled up my cup back with white wine and sat down on the sofa Mason had in the garden. I found my cigarettes in my bag and lit one. The usual feeling of anxiety leaving my body.
"So you work in health and fitness but you drink & smoke?" Someone interrupted my thoughts.
Benjamin.
"You're a footballer but you drink & do drugs?" I said, referring to the multiple times I have been out with the guys and ended up seeing them do things.
"Touché" he laughed.
"I'm surprised you keep making effort with me" I crossed my legs as he sat down opposite me on the sofa.
"Why?"
"Because I'm a bitch"
"I don't think you're a bitch"
"Oh give it a rest" I laughed.
"I just think you need time to warm up" he said.
"You're too nice"
"And you're not nice enough" he said "we balance eachother out"
"Is this you flirting?"
"Who said I was flirting" he winked. "Just trying to make new friends"
"You're choosing the wrong person there then mate" I huffed.
"You just called me mate, so it's clearly worked"
"Sorry smarty pants" I rolled my eyes.
Ben smirked to himself and I couldn't help but stare at the contours of his face. This dark wavy hair flopped down over his forehead and his stubble was perfectly shaped around his face. He light blue / grey eyes would sparkle when they light would hit them.
"Oi jaymie, stop staring at Ben yeah? We're leaving!" Tammy shouted.
"Why would I be staring at Ben?" I pretended to throw up.
"Whatever, I know what you're thinking missy" Mason nudged me.
"It's the alcohol, it lowers my standards"
Bens POV
Clubbing in London definitely has a different vibe to Leicester. Everyone was definitely more snobby or thought they were an A-list celebrity.
"7 quid for a vodka lemonade" I shook my head as I made the way back to our table that Mason had booked for the night.
"That must of really dented your bank account" Jaymie said with a straight face but jokingly held her hand on her heart and pretended it hurt.
"After a couple more drinks she'll lighten up" Tammy nudged her which she just rolled her eyes at.
"7 quid is cheap for london anyway" she said. "You better get used to it"
"She's right, the girl behind the bar must of fancied you" Mase tilted his head towards the girl behind the bar that served me who was staring directly at us.
"Aw ! She really looks like she has a personality" Jaymie smiled. "A big one as well" she winked, looking at the girl who was in a shirt strappy red dress with a clear push up bra on.
"Ben probably thinks she has a better personality than you" Mase said to Jaymie.
"Hey boys, do you want anymore to drink?" The girl with the big personality came over.
"Yes us boys are fine thank you" Jaymie interrupted before any of us could answer.
"Well I'll be here until closing if you need anymore help" she bent over to pick up some empty glasses and winked at me.
"Atleast someone at the table will get some action tonight" Jaymie sniggered. "I'm going for a cig"
She walked out of the booth in her tight blue skinny jeans which flattered her muscular body shape. I watched as on accident her hips swayed to the beat of the song that was playing.
"Honestly, J does get better" Mase said, calling Jaymie obviously by her nickname. "I wouldn't be best friends with her if she was a prick"
"I believe you, don't worry" I gulped, not really believing him.
I spent the rest of the night just chilling with the guys and getting to know them. The night went quickly and before we all knew it, it was 4 am and chucking out time at the club.
"So" the girl with the big personality came over to our booth. "How about I come back to your place tonight?"
"err, you know what, I'm okay thanks" I awkwardly smiled. All the guys were watching from the other side of the booth sniggering.
"Why? Do you have a girlfriend?" She pouted.
"No" I half laughed - avoiding eye contact with her and tying to untangle my hands that she intertwined with mine.
"Then why?" She said. "I'm sure we will have a really fun time"
"Honestly I'm really ok" I looked over to the guys who were absolutely no help.
"Look, he doesn't want to sleep you babe. Now come on we're going home" Jaymie grabbed my hand and began to lead me out of the club. "truth hurts babe" she shouted over her shoulder.
"You really didn't need to do that" I half laughed.
"Oh trust me, I did" she laughed. "Unless you did want to go back with her?" She pretended to throw up
"I'd much rather go home with you" I winked, the drink giving me some courage.
"This doesn't mean I like you Benjamin" she raised an eyebrow. "At all"
"Ah mate that was so funny" Mason and the rest of the guys stumbled out of the club.
"You ain't gonna live this one down Benjamin" Jaymie said. "Welcome to Chelsea"
