Jaymies POV

"You still look amazing , even in a Chelsea tracky" Ben complimented me.

"Thank you" I could feel my cheeks blush "so do you" I laughed back looking at his attire as well.

"How did you manage to do all of this?" I asked.

"Mason never stops talking about you and what you like" he told me. "And I know what you like but I wanted to do something a little different – we can always go for dinner if it's not-"

"No!" I cut him off. "This is amazing Benjamin , it's so different."

I couldn't quite believe my surroundings. It all just seemed so perfect, and i could tell how much effort Ben had put in which made butterflies appear in my stomach.

"You really didn't have to do all of this" I said after throwing a pizza crust back in the box.

"You're worth it" he smiled "I knew you were secretly a softie at heart"

"Too far" I gave him a stern look.

"Oh , these are for you" he got up and handed me a small bunch of flowers.

"Did you pick these from the car park at Cobham?" I laughed.

"Naaa, course not" he gave me a funny look. "Here, it's getting kinda cold" he handed me a blanket.

I pulled the blanket tight around me before glancing at him. "Here," I said, opening one arm and wrapping it around his shoulder. I rested the blanket there and pulled my arm back, leaning gently against his side. "Y'know... 'Cuz it's cold..." I laughed quietly and breathed out slowly. Ben grinned and wrapped an arm around your waist, tugging me closer.

"So," Ben said between bites, "is your dream date meeting expectations so far?"

"The idea is romantic" I couldn't help but tease him. He will have to work harder for my approval.

"Well it's not over yet" he smiled "Did you really think I wouldn't plan this out to completion?" He smirked and helped me up from the floor and led me out to my balcony.

"You're right, how could I be so foolish?" I joked.

"Stars are always pretty" he said as we sat down next to eachother, the blanket still wrapped around the both of us. " that one looks like a dick" he pointed up.

I elbowed him. "Killing the mood," I complained.

"I've had a great evening Jaymie"

"You can call me J, honestly"

"You call me Benjamin, I'll call you Jaymie" he smirked.

"Touché" I laughed. "I haven't been on a date in years you know?" I blurted out. As soon as I said this a huge wave of anxiety rushed through my body. What do I do at the end? Do I kiss him? Do I hug him? Am I even flirting with him right now?

"How comes?" Ben asked.

"I don't know, I guess I've been so wrapped up  in work and stuff by the time I get home I usually just go to bed" I laughed "the exciting like of a 22 year old huh?"

"You love the club, I get that" he smiled. Why is he so goddam nice. "Talking about that, we got an early start tomorrow so I better get going" he got up, forgetting that the blanket around us connected up both forcing me to get up with him.

"Oh god, sorry" he laughed.

"It's fine" I awkwardly laughed back "let me show you to the door anyways" I gulped , panic really setting in.

"Thanks again Benjamin, I suppose it was a nice evening"

"I'll take that , suppose" he repeated.

Bens POV

I pulled up to training the next morning after Jaymie and I's date last night. After grabbing some breakfast I made my way to the chill out room.

"What's going on guys?" I walked into deadly silence.

"Jaymie and Frank were having their weekly meeting and well I don't think it's going too well" Mason whispered.

"I'm just saying that going into Christmas with all these matches , we're not playing strategically correct!" I heard jaymies voice say through the door.

"Maybe you should just stick to physio Jaymie" Frank said back. Not how I've ever heard him speak before.

"Fine by me, don't ask me to do anything extra then yeah?" She snapped back "let's see how much longer you last here huh?" She added and stormed out of the office, slamming the door behind her.

"What are you all staring at for fucks sake?" She was clearly very angry. None of us replied. She then made some kind of grunt noise and walked into her massage room.

"You think I should go and speak to her?" I asked.

"Are you crazy?" Tammy laughed.

"Well, she seems quite angry you know?"

"Ben, you are so naive" Cristian said.

We were playing newcastle away today which meant that we had to fly up there. As usual we all met in the lounge beforehand to eat lunch.

"Hello stranger" Jaymie stood next to me at the coffee machine.

"How have you been?" I asked her. We have been texting every now and then but since we all heard her little row with Frank she has been quiet around us.

"I've been better" she said "guessing you heard the other day?"

"Only the end, but I got the jist of it"

"Yeah, I guess sometimes I just loose my cool"

"We all do"

"I can't imagine you getting angry" she laughed "you're like a little puppy"

"Wow, not really the most masculine of things"

"You know what I mean" she nudged my side, the most affection she has ever showed me. "I've still got your little fort set up in my apartment"

"Why?" I laughed.

"It's too cute to put it down"

"And it reminds you of how much of a good guy I am? I teased.

"Too far"

"But it's true?" I continued to tease.

"Benjamin, I was being nice and you've ruined it"

"C'mon" I nudged her back.

"Oi lovebirds!" Tammy shouted in the lounge causing everyone to look. "Get me a coffee will you?" He asked. Jaymie responded by putting her middle finger up.

"Hey J, you got the notes for me?" Frank came over.

"I'm just a physio remember?" She spoke back, picked her coffee up and walked away.

"Chilly" Frank then called me over. "Lovebirds huh?"

"He's just joking" I panicked.

"Hmmm" he nodded "if it is true, maybe you can calm her down"

"She is calm" I found myself getting defensive "I think she just has her moments like we all do"

"She has more than moments" he laughed "just keep an eye out , ok?"
