Chapter 24: Something Feels Off...

*Beep, Beep, Beep-*

I groaned as i struggled to turn off my alarm. I sat up and stared at the wall infront of me. After a few seconds, i snapped out and started to get up and make my bed. I opened the curtains and window letting in the light and breeze inside my room. After that, i went to the bathroom.

After i walked out of the bathroom, i suddenly stopped and looked at my alarm clock. It was now 6:20am.

Jenn: *mind* That's odd... Why did my alarm clock wake me up at this time. It was usually adjusted to 4:00am not 6:00am.

I sighed not thinking of it that much and changed into my uniform. I dried and brushed my hair, not putting too much effort in it since it would get ruined by the wind anyway.

After that, i walked downstairs to see zenn eating breakfast. I smiled and sat down next to her. I noticed mom wasn't here, she usually eats breakfast with us. I saw one of the maids pass by, i got up from my seat and without any hesitation asked where mom is.

Jenn:Umm.. excuse me? Do you know where mom is?

Maid:She said that she's going somewhere..

Jenn:Did she tell you where she was going?

Maid:No madam.. sorry....

Jenn:Okay... You may go now...

I said with a smile and the maid bowed before leaving. I went back to my seat and ate my breakfast thinking about my dream last night.

Who was that woman? Why did she ask me for help? And most importantly, what did she want from me?

Zenn:Jenn? You ok?

I snapped out of my thoughts and looked at her. She had a worried expression on her face.

Jenn:Uh.. yeah.. i-i'm fine...

I said as i quickly finished my food. I can still see zenn staring at me from the corner of my eye. I sighed and said..

Jenn:Zenn i'm fine ok? Don't worry about me...

I said and stood up from my seat. I started walking upstairs when i heard zenn muttering something. I turned back to her, her head was down and she was muttering something i couldn't quite make out, so i asked her.

Jenn:What are you saying zenn? Can you please say it louder?

I asked. She stopped muttering and started to grind her teeth out of frustration.

Jenn:Zenn, please talk to m---

Zenn:LIAR!!!!!

Zenn screamed in shock. Zenn never screamed at THIS loud before. I stared at her, my eyes widened in shock and mostly confusion.

Jenn:Zenn what are you talking about---

Zenn:YOUR A LIAR JENN!!!!!

Jenn:Wh-what do you mea---

Zenn:YOU SAID WE WON'T BE HIDING SECRETS FROM EACHOTHER!!!!! AND NOW YOUR HERE HIDING THE FACT THAT YOUR NOT OK!!!!!

Jenn:Zenn please---

Zenn:SHUT UP!!!!!

Zenn never tells me to shut up. She never even has the courage to tell me to shut up. I couldn't even believe what i was hearing, i just stood there staring at her, my eyes full of shock and disappointment towards my twin sister.

When zenn realized what she said she immediately stood up from her seat. I watched her as she started to walk towards me, saying...

Zenn:Jenn i-i'm so sorry, i d-didn't mean to---

Before zenn can finish what she was saying i quickly went back upstairs and into my room. I quickly packed my bag and put on my shoes as i noticed that it was already 7:00am. I quickly put on my bag and ran down stairs, heading out to the front door while zenn was following me from behind.

We almost missed the bus and we quickly got on. I made sure to sit as far as i can from britney and her friends. As soon as zenn got on the bus britney suddenly said..

Britney:There she is! Come sit with us zenn, we saved you a seat!

I ignored them and looked out the window. I can see from the corner of my eye that zenn was looking at me. I can tell that she wanted to sit with me, so i placed my bag on the seat next to me and continued to stare out the window.

Bus driver:Will ya hurry up and sit down?! I ain't got all day ya'know!

The driver screamed and zenn quickly went to the back and sat with britney and her friends. I quickly took my bag and placed it on my lap to make room to the other students to sit on.

I can hear britney and her friends laughing at the back, I turned back and I could see them laughing at me or at my direction and I could see zenn looking down as britney and the others laugh like chipmunks.

after maybe about 15 minutes of driving we arrived at school. But what caught all of us off guard is that there were police patroling everywhere and there were police tape on the entrance.

The driver got off the bus and went towards a police officer, they started to talk for about ten minutes. After that, the driver went back on the bus saying that the school will close for about 2 months because some maniac murdered all ten of the teachers who were at school earlier, so the police has to investigate it and a special cleaning crew will come to our school and deep clean the intire school.

As we entered the house the maids greeted us. I was about to go to my room when i heard mom crying in the living room. I can see zenn sitting next to her, comforting her.

For some reason, i kinda felt bad, so i went back down the steps and went to the living room. Mom was leaning on zenn's shoulder, she was covering her face with her hands and i noticed something between her fingers.

Jenn:*mind* Is that blood?

I thought to myself. I slowly walked towards them and sat down beside zenn.

Jenn:Mom? A-are you ok?

She didn't answer, just kept crying. I slowly fot up and sat down next to her. I gently placed my hand on her back.

Mom:DON'T TOUCH ME!!!

Startled i removed my hand from her back. She quickly stood up and looked at me, there was hatred in her eyes as she glared down at me.

She then started.... Laughing? Her eyes grew wider and wider as she laughed like a psychopath. Me and zenn just looked at her, confusion was written on our faces. Just then we heard sirens and police cars pulling in to our property and banging on the door.

Mom started to mutter something under her breath and ran upstairs. Me and zenn looked at eachother for a while, i then got up and opened the door to see two male officers standing there.

Officer 1:Hello maam, may we come in and have a word with you for a moment?

I nodded and led them inside. I closed the door and led them to the living room where zenn was. I sat down next to her while the two cops were sitting on the single chair next to the couch.

Jenn:So officers, what do you want to tell us?

Officer 2:It's about your father....
