The coaches walked in while the team was eating and sat down. Takeda was the first one to spark up a conversation. "Hey hinata! How are you feeling?" He asked cheerfully.

Hinata slowly swallowed the bite of food in his mouth, internally cringing, and answered, "I'm good! I really miss volleyball though..." He trailed off.

"Has your doctor given you a release date yet?" Ukai asking trying to keep the red head talking. Hinata shook his head and leaned into Kageyama, silently asking for him to start a different convo.

"The two cops working on his case are coming over to talk about court dates," Kageyama said, finishing off his food.

"So they got him in custody?" Takeda asked, letting out a subtle sigh.

"Yes, they are wanting to discuss court dates and other things tomorrow." Hinata said, putting the half empty bowl down. The team looked at him in worry, Hinata started proggressing with eating, he could get an entire helping down.

"Ok," Takeda stood up and motioned Ukai up, "we have some stuff to handle back at the school, we just wanted to catch up." Ukai ruffled Hinata's hair as he walked by, "get better soon, carrot top."

They walked out the door and Kageyama took Hinata's food. Kageyama wasn't one to push the tangerine. They've found that it only makes him worse.

1 hour later

The team walked out the door and to their own homes. It was just Hinata and Kageyama. Kageyama sat down in front of Hinata and took his hands. "What's on your mind, darling."

"Pffftttt. Darling?" Hinata started to giggle at the nickname.

"Yes." Kageyama said smiling. He stood up and sat next to Hinata on the bed. Hinata subconsciously cuddled up to him.

"I'm just worried about the whole court thing," Kageyama hummed encouraging him to continue, "like, what if they don't believe me? What if my father can somehow get out of all this? What if I have to go back to him? What-"

"None of that is going to happen." Kageyama said, cutting him off, "you have two very good officers on your case. There is so much evidence against your father it is ridiculous. No one is going to make you go back to him. Alright?" Kageyama said, stroking Hinata's back. Hinata nodded.

"I'm going to take a shower." Hinata said getting up and walking up the stairs to the bathroom. Kageyama sighed and looked through social media.

Timeskip 10 minutes later

Hinata walked out of the bathroom in sweatpants and one of Kageyama's hoodies and into the taller boy's bedroom. Kageyama was on the bed doing some homework, not noticing Hinata's presence. Hinata sat down on the bed and pulled Kageyama down with him, so they were laying down. "Hun, I need to get this homework done. I don't get tomorrow to do it like you do." Hinata whined, he was very clingy lately and just wanted to cuddle his boyfriend. Kageyama laughed and sat up. Hinata just clung to his waist while he continued to work. Eventually Hinata fell asleep and Kageyama finished his homework. Kageyama looked down, kissed Hinata's forehead, and walked to the bathroom to take a shower. Hopefully it would be another peaceful night.

Later into the night Kageyama woke up to the sounds of someone vomiting. He threw the blankets off and ran across the hall to the bathroom. Hinata was sobbing on the floor next to the toilet. Kageyama saw he had crimson red lines on his wrist. He sat down and pulled Hinata to him. The red head clung to him, "i'm sorry! I didn't mean to! I was scared and didn't know what else to do!" Kageyama rocked the smaller boy until he calmed down.

"I'm not mad. lets get you cleaned up then you can tell me what happened ok?" Hinata sniffled and nodded.

After getting cleaned up and his wrists bandaged, the two walked back to the room and layed back down. "So what happened?" Kageyama said stroking Hinata's hair.

"I had a nightmare.....about my dad finding out about everything and killing the team." Hinata said clingy to Kageyama. Kageyama hummed and rocked the boy sending him back to sleep.
