Chapter 16

3rd P.O.V

The doctor finished up talking and said that they could go and see Hinata. Kageyama rushed down the hall and too Hinata's room not caring about the shouts that followed him.

He made it to Hinata's room and opened the door quietly. Hinata looked over and saw him. He seemed scared and didn't know what to say. Kageyama walked over and sat on the bed, waiting for Hinata to do something. Hinata then opened his arms, a silent plea to be held. Kageyama complied and held him, whispering to him that everything was going to be ok. Hinata only held his shirt and tried not to cry.

The team walked in and everyone went and hugged Hinata as well. They didn't say anything, they just held him, letting him know they were there.

They stay like this for what seemed like hours. They didn't want to let him go. Even Tsukishima was worried as fuck. The moment was broken when to cops walked into the room. One of them was a female and the other was a male. Everyone let go of Hinata except for Kageyama. Hinata was hidden in Kageyama's shirt, refusing to let go. The female officer walked over and started to speak. "Hinata?" she spoke softly not wanting to scare him. "Hinata, my name is Akari. Can you look at me?" she said sweetly. Hinata looked at the woman, feeling like he can trust her. "You have really cool hair." She said trying to make Hinata more comfortable with her. He only nodded in thanks still startled. "We are here to help you, but you need to speak. We are going to collect evidence and get your side of the story before we go and arrest the person who did this. Ok?" Hinata nodded and spoke "Can everyone leave the room? I don't want to speak with them here." he said just above a whisper. "Of course! Is ok if my partner and I stay though?" Hinata nodded again. Everyone got up and left the room. Kageyama didn't want to, but he respected Hinata's wishes and left.

Hinata P.O.V

After everyone left the room I sat up and waited for Akari to speak. She sat at the foot of the bed and sat a box down. "This is going to record your side of the story so we can use it in court ok?" she said. I nodded and looked at her partner. He looked very gentle, maybe too gentle to be a cop. He noticed my gaze and chuckled. "Hello, I'm Haru," he said. I nodded my head, still not comfortable telling my life story to them. "Do you wanna know why we were sent here." Akari asked. I gave her a curious look. "It's because we both went through what your going through," she said sadly, "We get sent to these kinds of things to try and put a stop to this. We both know what it's like so you're not making us uncomfortable." Hinata gaped at her. She then lifted her uniform sleeve and showed her self-harm scars, she looked at him. Hinata couldn't believe it.

"You guys are like me!" he exclaimed. The two officers chuckled.

"So now that you know somewhat about that, do you feel comfortable telling us what happened." Hinata hesitantly nodded his head. "Ok! I'm going to start whenever you're ready, ok?" Hinata nodded again and the officer hit a button.

Hinata took a deep breath and started. "It really started after my mother, my younger sister, and I were in a car accident, when I was 6. My mother and sister were killed and I managed to survive. After I got home from the hospital my father hit me for the first time." Hinata stopped and looked at the officer. Akari nodded her head and smiled at him. "It was only once in awhile I would get hit. It was mostly insultes. But as I grew older he started hitting me more and more. It wasn't until I turned 12 when he actually started to beat me. I started to hide my bruises and scars to make sure I wouldn't get asked. When I turned 14 he found out I like boys and he raped me." I stopped and looked at the officer, she stopped the recorder and smiled at me.

"You're so brave, Hinata. I know it's hard and you're really scared right now, but I need you to do one more thing." Hinata nodded and gulped. "We are going to take pictures of the bruises and other things your dad has done ok? This will be used in court." Akari said. Hinata nodded, he didn't want to do it but he needed to.

They got the camera and started to take the pictures.
