"Promise!"

The sound of his voice kept ringing in your head for the past half hour. It was only morning but you were incredibly tired.

It's been eleven years since you've last seen each other.

Today was the ceremony for you and the announcement of your so called marriage. You let out a sigh as you sat up and looking over to your window, the sun was peeking out from the curtains.

Ever since you were taken in by the Kujou clan, you had to get trained in the military and learn how to wield a weapon. Preferably, your choice of weapon was a sword but you knew how to handle polearm.

It wasn't easy let's say that. You were only eleven when you were taken away from everything and Thoma and haven't seen him ever since.

You would always wonder if he ever thought about you but you never let it to overcome your thoughts too much.

Training, fighting, and learning how to do house chores to be the partner. It was just too much and too exhausting you wanted to throw yourself in the ocean.

While you were in your thoughts, the sound of a couple of knocks on your door shook you out of your trance.

"Coming!" You silently groaned and got up making your way to your door, surprised to see Sara.

Kujou Sara. General of the Tenryou Commission, was standing at in front of you with a stoic and look of boredom.

She was another person who got adopted into the clan along with you but, she came a day after you and shockingly, you were close friends.

"You're going to be late, you're needed to be fitted and for your makeup." She gave a once over and grimaced at your sleepy state.

You noticed and rolled your eyes, slamming the door in front of her and walking to your closet only to hear the door open again.

"Sara, I'm getting changed go away." You opened your closet and took out the first things you saw, throwing on a white tank top and black training shorts.

She scoffed and crossed her arms over her chest, turning around to look around your clean yet close to empty room.

After doing all that you walked past her and she followed you out. She told you to go get dressed for the ceremony and to wait for her to escort you once you were done.

The fitting room wasn't too far thank god but, when you were about to knock you were pulled in immediately and got placed on a chair ready to go.

Two hours had passed and you were dying to get out of the room. All dressed up like you were royalty but in reality you felt too weird.

Only good thing was that you did, in fact looked good. They had made you wear a dark blue gradient kimono with waves and snowflakes on the bottom of it and on the sleeves of the beautiful kimono.

The design was requested by the family you were marrying into. It came to you as a shock to know that you were going to marry the head of the Kamisato clan, Ayato.

You haven't seen him yet nor has he seen you but it was going to be like that for a few more hours. You were fidgeting around until you saw Sara come in the room.

"Alright let's go." She was dressed traditionally too but not as much as you. You followed her out and kept your head down.

"Will Dainsleif be here today?" You softly spoke, hoping that you will get to see the tall male.

You lifted your head and quickly saw the brunette shake her head, you sighed and pursed your lips of course.

The thing about Dainsleif was that he was always traveling even though he was your bodyguard, along with Sara.

You grew fond of him and even though he seemed distant, he secretly had a soft side that you were the only one who saw it. The two of you met a year after getting accustomed to the clan.

He had told you he was from a far away place but he never said where, and that was fine. He was a few years older than you but you guys were close.

"Stop spacing out y/n." Sara was standing in front of you as she pulled your fox-like ears making you yelp.

The room that Sara had taken you to was wide enough for enough people. There was a long table in the middle of the room with four pillows, two on either side of the table.

"Only four seats?" You turned to the brunette, "who are the other two besides my oh so future husband." Your friend rolled her eyes at your sarcasm and moved towards you.

"Just me and his sister."

"Guess that makes sense. Only here to see I don't misbehave?" You clicked your tongue and sighed after seeing Sara scoff.

Waving her off, you made way to your seat seeing your name placed on it.

"Yes exactly that." She rolled her eyes and sat on the other side facing you.

For a while it was just you and Sara talking about commission orders and anything else that was important, till the sound of footsteps came through.

Sara had gotten up quickly and motioned for you to do the same, turning around to see the Kamisato siblings and bowing down to welcome them.

You would be lying if you didn't think Ayato wasn't attractive. Hell, he was and you were sure he knew he was.

Gorgeous ice blue eyes matching with his long hair. You were taken back by how beautiful he looked, and that made Sara turn to you and glare at you silently making you to stop.

"You look beautiful." Ayato was facing you and a gentle smile caressed his beautiful face.

You silently cursed at yourself in your head and returned the smile, "you're not so bad yourself, Mr. Kamisato." Earning you a chuckle, goddamnit.

The both of you sat next to each other while Sara and Ayaka sat on the opposite side. Sara was talking about how the marriage was going to be done for later.

After an hour later, you all got a bit comfortable each other and talked among yourselves while Sara had to excuse herself to grab a few things.

The three of you all talked about what will happen once everything gets settled. Apparently you will be moving in the Kamisato residence later today.

"I already have the room set up for when you get there," the man beside you faced you while holding his cup of tea to his lips, "the place is big enough if you want to move or add things."

Today is going to be hectic.

And finally that's when Sara had came back and sat down in front of you and Ayato, while Ayaka sat to the side.

Going on about how you two will have to sign a few things, gather the rings and placing them on yours and Ayato's ring finger.

"And now you guys are engaged. Congrats," Stoic as ever but you knew that Sara was genuine, "You guys will have the announcement in an hour so get ready."

You'll be getting married in front of the whole Inazuma but for now, you're only engaged.

You nodded and bowed down to the Kamisatos, well you're one too now in a way.
