[25] The plan

Three days went by and you haven't seen Thoma since then, staying cooped up in his new house. He has invited you over but you were still busy dealing with things.

As the significant other to the head of the Kamisato's, people still believe you two are together.

The reason you are keeping it like that for the people of Inazuma is for safety, if anyone were to ever go out of there way to expose that the marriage was nothing but protection over you.

People from your father's ex clan could take that information, and put it against you and the Kamisato clan.

Right now, you were with Ayato discussing with other members of the clan, with Dainsleif and Sara by your side. You were standing on the side of Ayato while he discusses the plan about Baal.

"We are very close to having everything that we need incase Baal commands a fight. We're going against her wishes of the Decree and handing back the visions to their rightful owners."

He points down at a mark on a big map that was laid out on the table in the middle of the room meeting.

Soon after the door opens and Yae Miko walks in and stands in front of you, giving you a smile when she turned around to face you for a second.

"The only way to get to Baal, is for me to take some time to get things in order. It'll take a lot out of me to get at least a group to bring over to her Plane of Euthymia." She instructed, crossing her arms over her chest. 

"Will it be really be alright to have you do that much to bring our men inside?" Ayato questions as his brows furrow slightly.

She turns around and nods, "It'll be fine, Ayato. If you don't want me to, I simply won't, but it's just precaution to take as many people if she refuses to listen to you, or y/n."

Yae points at you and you pointed at yourself. "B-But what about you? Aren't you going to be there since she also wishes to see you too?" You kinda hope she will say yes, Baal did say she wanted Yae back.

She nods and places a hand on your shoulder, looking up at both Dainsleif and Sara. "Yes I'll be with you guys. I won't intervene unless I really have to. We are close to finding out the truth behind her schemes."

After the meeting was over you, Dainsleif and Sara followed Yae to her shrine and met up with Thoma.

He gave you a side-glance and grinned to himself when you looked away. You two were behind the others and he was about to grab your hand till Yae cleared her throat—quickly redrawing from each other.

"I almost forgot! Once we get inside the plane of euthmiya, you three would have to protect the both of us. Baal has a target on just us two, but you guys will need to help each other out if she plans on fighting."

All three of you nodded and she was about to dismiss you guys but she had other plans in mind.

"Actually, I need y/n to stay behind. I need to discuss thing's with her."

You looked behind and shrugged when the others furrowed their brows. You then followed Yae and into her room.

"Nice to see that you and Thoma are getting close like before." She turns to you when she grabbed two cups of tea off her table.

"Uh.. yeah. What's the thing you wanted to discuss with me?" You asked, wanting to know what it was that could probably be about tomorrow.

She sighs and takes a sip of her tea, gently setting the cup back on the table. "Knowing Baal, she won't listen, she's childish and will do whatever she can to get what she wants: you and me."

"So, whatever might happen tomorrow there's a chance she will just attack us without reason?" She nods at that and looks away.

"Well yes, you all shouldn't underestimate her but she will do everything she can, to get you and me. Remember, she wants us for our special genes. Reason why could be for a longer time in isolation."

You nodded and sighed. Thing's are finally looking like they're coming back to normal, if tomorrow goes well our mission might be over.

Oh! That reminds you. Thoma's curse mark is still on him but it hasn't faded for a while. He thought it would be fine but you still needed to ask Yae about removing it.

"Yae, there's also something I'd like to ask. It's about Thoma."

"Go ahead, I'm guessing its the mark he has on him isn't it?"

You nodded and explained to her where it was located and how far it's faded. "He thinks he'll be fine since nothing has happened to him for a while, but I just want to make sure."

"If he's still in the area bring him so we can check it out right now."

Getting up and dismissing yourself quickly, you went to find him seeing as he was near the Kitsune tree outside. You touched his shoulder and laughed when he flinched, telling him to follow you inside the shrine.

Once you got back to Yae she was setting up some stuff and you two announced yourselves.

"Good have a seat Thoma."

She pulls out a small paper and draws a marking on it, placing it on the mark and drawing a droplet of blood onto the paper. It started hissing and a small puff of smoke appeared from where his mark was.

Yae moved her hand to get rid of the smoke, and saw that the mark was no longer on his lower right side.

"There! It's all gone. Would you like a piece of candy?" She laughed as she noticed Thoma whine that it was gone now.

You rolled your eyes at his childishness, "stop whining Thoma, after we deal with Baal we can go get you a tattoo with Yoimiya." Suggesting so he doesn't whine again.

"Really?! Alright then but you have to get one with me." He grins at you and nudges you with his elbow, "Yoimiya does have a really cool tattoo, I'm sure she'll be glad to give us one."

After that, you both caught up with Dainsleif and Sara and went out to get something to eat. The food was good and you said your goodbyes to the two, then it was you and Thoma.

Thoma invited you to the house he had recently gotten and you accepted. The time he had told you about buying the house and asking you to live with him, you hadn't had the chance to bring it up.

The blonde opened the front door and led you in first, closing the door behind him.

"I know it's been a while since we got to talk but—"

"Yes."

"Yes? What do you mean by yes?"

"As in yes I'll move in here to be with you." You smiled at him and his eyes widened. His mouth was parted and he grabbed you by your hand.

"You're not just messing with me right? Because I'll do something about it." He raised a brow looking at you to see if you were lying. Once he noticed you weren't he held you close.

Your face was in his chest and you tried pushing him away, when he did you gasped. "Are you trying to kill me?" He laughs and shakes his head.

The two of you went up to your guys shared room and stayed close together under the covers—whispering to each other.

"I promise tomorrow, if something were to happen and I hope not, I will protect you." Thoma whispers while caressing your cheek, noticing you were already asleep. He pressed his lips to your forehead and went to sleep.
