Steam billowed up from the platform As the snow fell onto The heated metal surface.  As a ship hovered above heat from its engine heating up the platform.

A bay door on the starship opened as soon as a crack was formed. Snow around the opening was blown inward, being sucked in by the vacuum sealed starship.  As the platform lowered, revealing a man in dark clothing.

"Are you sure about this sir" a voice said from further in the starship. "No one leaves this planet. It's kind of a one-stop shop for people, starships aren't allowed to land. We just pick up our order and take it."

The darkly clothed man turned to address the one speaking.  "That works for me" The man said in a gruff weathered voice One that had not seen many years but had seen too much in those short years.

"All right suit yourself, But we ain't going to land"

The man knotted it.  Then turned back to the snowy planet as he simply leaped off the platform.  He landed with a loud crunch on the shallow snow.

The starship platform clothes behind him to the man making one last comment "crazy souls"

The man walked away from the platform looking around through a deserted town. At least one which gave the appearance of deserted.  The man noticed recent footprints in the ground but the snow was always so heavy That any footprints laid were soon covered up by the snow. The man followed with his eyes some footprints that were freshly being covered by snow over towards a building with light beaming from a crack. The second he looked in that direction the light disappeared as if a drape closed immediately.  "Their eyes are all over me" The man said, looking around, starting to see more cracks and windows. The man continued on down the road as he got further away from the platform It seemed to get louder as people around were not as timid

In the silence of snowfall and wind, the sound of voices and cheer Caused the man to focus in the direction down the road where the sound came from.  The man I had his surroundings suspiciously as he noticed the eyes slightly fading from his figure. Allowing him a respite as he headed straight for the ruckus.  A faded pinkish blue neon hollow light shone above the doorway.  It read 'cold front tavern' The man set foot inside as a gust of air blew over the top of him.

The patrons in the bar turned immediately and silence fell.  All eyes once again focused on the stranger.

The man reached a hand behind his head and with a snap his face mask lowered, dropping to his collar.  The man was well built.  Eyes dark shaded by his outdated black wide brimmed fedora.  He wore a long peacoat.  His attire seemed to be that of all black.  The man began to walk forward and with each step the patrons in the bar would wince at the sound.  The sound of metal clanking and with each step The more those eyes turned to an angry glare.  The man knew all too well the reaction he was getting.  He knew that the sound would anger those in the outer territories.  No matter what their affiliation was during the war.  The sound of a True Guard could never be forgotten.

The man stopped right before the barkeep "barreled whiskey" The man said.

Murmuring and curses echoed through the bar from the patrons. The bartender who was still wiping a glass looked at the man square in the eyes.  "We don't get that kind of drink this far out, The closest thing we got is engine whiskey"
