Kaeya was sat at home thinking about a certain blonde haired science teacher. Barbara did have a point, he definitely felt something out of the ordinary towards Albedo. He just didn't really know what it was or how to describe it.
He got out his phone and opened his contacts, clicking on ⭐Albedo⭐
The phone rang for a few seconds before the other picked up.
"Hello Kaeya."
"Heyyyyyy Albedo. I was just wondering if you were free anytime this week."
"Oh I'm afraid not really. I have Klee until next weekend now since Sucrose is on a business trip. I am taking her to the park on Saturday, though I don't know if you would want to join us."
"Yes!" Kaeya blurted out really quickly and rolled his eyes at himself.
"Yes I would love to join you two."
"Ok great, I'm sure Klee will be very excited to see you. Meet us there at around 11am on Saturday?"
Kaeya parked his motorcycle just up the road and walked towards the gates of the park. He didn't really understand why he was so nervous but he couldn't help but overthink the slightest of things. Like Albedo had probably only agreed to this since he felt bad declining him or just to make Klee happy. He doubted Albedo would be truly happy that he would be crashing what is supposed to be father daughter time.
"Kaeya! Hello!" A voice called out to him and pulled him out of his thoughts.
"Mr Kaeya! Mr Kaeya!" Klee shouted happily.
"Hi Klee." Kaeya chuckled slightly as he picked her up and spun her around before placing her back on the ground.
"Daddy told me you were coming today. We're going to have so much fun!"
"What do you want to go on first princess?" Albedo asked and Klee immediately ran in the direction of the swing.
Kaeya just watched as the blonde giggled slightly before they both started walking over to join Klee.
"She really does have a lot of energy." Kaeya said while they walked.
"I don't know where she gets it from. Her mother and I were never this energetic. " Albedo giggled slightly again.
Klee looked at them from the swing and Albedo began to push her. After a few minutes she got bored however and moved onto the slide.
"Klee please be careful on those stairs." Albedo called out to their daughter as she climbed up.
She reached the top and sat at the top of the slide. Klee slid down and Albedo caught her at the bottom.
"Again!" She shouted loudly and quickly scrambled back up to go again. The two adults just took turn waiting for her at the bottom. After Klee spent an hour or two playing they decided to take a walk.
"How's work going Albedo?" Kaeya asked.
"Oh it's the same as it usually is. I spent a long time marking last night. Two of my students had to get an extension because one of them managed to lose his entire half of the project and has to redo it so I still have the project to finish marking as well." Albedo replied.
"The entire thing? That kid must have some seriously bad luck."
"Indeed. How are things with you? Any replies from your brother yet?"
Kaeya had recently tried to get back into contact with his brother Diluc. Talking to Albedo about his reasoning behind refusing to sleep at 3am made him miss the times where he and Diluc enjoyed spending time together and shared everything with each other. So he had sent a few texts.
"Nothing yet. I'm sure he will eventually though. He has always been the type of person to be polite."
They continued to walk, this time in a comfortable silence, before Albedo noticed Kaeya shiver.
"Kaeya are you cold? Do you want my cardigan?" He asked.
"No,no I'm fine." Kaeya insisted but shivered again.
"Stop lying. Klee, princess, we're going to stop for a second. Daddy needs to give Kaeya his cardigan."
Albedo turned to face Kaeya and reached out to his shirt.
"Well here's part of the problem your shirt is undone quite a bit." They said as he did the buttons up. Kaeya just stood there blushing as Albedo fixed his shirt and put their cardigan over his shoulders.
"Better?" They asked. Kaeya nodded.
When they reached the car park Klee looked disappointed.
"Is Mr Kaeya going home now?" She asked.
Albedo looked at him.
"Would you like to come back to our house Kaeya? It's fine if not. I wouldn't want to keep you any longer than you are able to stay." He asked.
"I would love to." Kaeya replied.
Kaeya followed Albedo back to his house. When they arrived, Kaeya played with Klee whilst Albedo made some food. After eating together, Klee went to bed, leaving Albedo and Kaeya alone.
"Would you like to watch something Kaeya or do you need to go?" They asked.
"I can stay longer. What did you have in mind?"
"Well I heard there was an interesting animal documentary on tonight that I was going to try but if that's not your thing I have Netflix that you can choose something from."
"An animal documentary sounds great."
So they settled down on the sofa to watch it. After twenty minutes, Albedo began to dose off, succumbing to the late marking from the night before. Kaeya felt a weight on his shoulder and looked down to see their head resting on it as he slept. He smiled and ran his hands through the others hair a couple of times before turning off the tv. He debated whether to lay him down on the couch but decided it would be better to take them to their room.
Kaeya picked up the sleeping Albedo and placed them on their bed before leaving the house, closing he door quietly behind him.
