As soon as Kaeya was on his motorcycle he smiled and bought his hand to his cheek. Albedo had kissed him. Albedo had kissed him.

Whether the other meant it or not he wasn't quite sure but he had liked it. He was kind of hoping albedo would do it again sometime. Probably a bit of a stretch though.

He arrived back at work and plugged his phone into charge. A few hours had passed and the children had finally gone to sleep and he decided to check it.

2 unread messages from 😠Diluc😠

He was shocked. A few weeks ago he had texted his brother and tried to rekindle their relationship but hadn't gotten a reply. He opened his phone almost immediately and read them.

Kaeya- Hey Diluc. I know we haven't talked in a while, almost a year to be precise but I know dad wouldn't want this and I don't like it either. We were so close and now I never see it hear from you. So I'm reaching out and whether you reply or not at least I tried.  4 weeks ago

😠Diluc😠- Hello Kaeya.
😠Diluc😠- I'm sorry for taking a long time.to reply I didn't know what to say.

Kaeya rolled his eyes and texted back.

Kaeya- neither did I but I managed to say something. Even saying you had nothing to say would have been saying something. Look I understand if you don't want to talk to me but four weeks really? You usually have a good way with words.

He was going to check on the kids when his phone buzzed.

😠Diluc😠- usually I would but it's not everyday I get a text from my estranged brother asking for us to talk again.

Kaeya- I'm the estranged one? The rest of the family always hears from me. They haven't heard from you since dads passing. Not to mention you cut ties with me I didn't try to cut any ties with you. If you're just going to pass the blame onto me we can stop here.

😠Diluc😠- ok, ok least stop bickering like we're kids again. How about we start with a simple question? How have you been?

Kaeya - I have been rather good actually. I've got a good job, a nice apartment and recently made a few new friends so I am doing well definitely. You?

😠Diluc😠- not too good. Recently a big bank has been trying to buy out the company. I really don't want that to happen but they're more rich and more well known than we are. If it does happen then we lose the last remaining piece of our father's legacy on this planet. And I'm slightly behind on the payments for dad's house. I will have the money but if I miss anymore deadlines they might just take it away.

Kaeya couldn't reply to that. He just stared in shock. What kind of bank wants a wine and juice making company? He knew Diluc wouldn't let that happen but he couldn't help but feel worried. The business had never been something he wanted to takeover from his father but it still meant quite a lot to him. He's grown up being around the office worked and helping his dad taste test the juice that was created. Losing that company would mean losing everything. And the family house. That was where he grew up. That was the one place he saw as his bacon of hope during some dark times in his life.

"Kaeya is everything alright?" Albedo asked as he waved a hand in front of their friends face.

Kaeya snapped out of his trance.

"Oh umm yeah yeah I'm alright." He replied.

"Are you sure? You looked quite worried." They asked again.

"Can I come to yours later? I'd rather tell you in private. " Kaeya asked.

"Oh of course. Come round whenever your ready. You can come round with us now or text me when you're on your way later." They said.

"Thanks Albedo, I'll come over soon. I'll text you when I'm headed over."

" Alright then. I'll see you later. "

Kaeya was just about to leave work when he got another text.

😠Diluc😠- I promise I won't let anything happen to the business or the house Kaeya. You have my word.

He sighed before sending a text to albedo and drove off. It didn't take long to get to albedo's house. It was only a 10 minutes drive.

"Ah Kaeya come in. Klee went to a friend's house so we have the whole house to ourselves. Would you like a drink?" Albedo asked.

" You got any wine? "

Kaeya poured a second glass and took a sip. Albedo just watched him.

"So you seemed upset earlier. Are you comfortable telling me what's wrong?" Albedo asked.

" Diluc replied." He downed the second glass in one go as he handed over his phone.

Albedo read through the messages and looked at Kaeya. They placed the phone on the table and pulled him into a hug. Kaeya placed his wine glass on the table and hugged back.

"Kaeya I'm sorry. I can't imagine being told that news. Losing the two things left of your father. I don't know your brother but I'm sure he is telling you the truth when he says he won't let anything happen."

"Thanks Albedo." He said and sipped another glass of wine.

They had been talking for a while, Kaeya on his fourth glass by now. Albedo was starting to get concerned. They didn't want him to be in pain the next morning.

"Kaeya I think you should have something else to drink." He suggested but was instead met with a whine.

"But albedo." He whined like a kid. Albedo sighed and took the wine bottle away.

"No, you've had four glasses and I don't want you feeling ill. Is there anything I could get you instead?"

"A kiss." Kaeya said, his words slurred as he pulled albedo into his lap.

" Huh? " Albedo asked, a little surprised. He could fill the heat rush to their face.

"Give me a kiss bedo." He said.

" Kaeya you're drunk. "

Kaeya pouted.

"Kiss please?" He asked.

albedo sighed and kissed him on the cheek.

"There now I think it's best you get some rest."

So albedo led a very drunk Kaeya up to his bedroom. Kaeya fell on the bed and albedo was about to leave when they were pulled down aswell.

"Stay." He heard followed by quiet snores.

Albedo sighed and turned onto his side, closing his eyes. He'd deal with this all in the morning.

Hey, just wanted to apologise if this seems a little rushed. I've been struggling to progress this chapter for a while now and so I kinda did just rush it a little to get it out of the way. I hope he next chapters will be back up to the usual standard.
