Grimlock's Origin

After the whole Sixshot and Shockblast problems, The Wreckers parted ways for now but some did stay on earth. Grimlock sat down alone at Teletraan 1.  He looked at his tablet and chuckled to himself as he saw a photo of him and Optimus hanging out. The few human friends that were left walked to Grimlock as Snarl sat with him, "Hey Grimlock." Buster waved as Grimlock nodded at them, "Hey guys." Snarl relaxed as Verity rubbed her arm, "Wait, so you guys are millions of years old and turn into Dinosaurs? How does that happen?" Kicker and Ironhide walked over as they set their guns down. "Me Grimlock say... It long story honestly..." Ironhide nodded in agreement, "Ya sure ya wanna tell 'em the story partner?" He asked Grimlock as the Dinobot modded, "Yes."

Grimlock' Story

"It was a dark day... Megatron took almost more than half the planet of Cybertron... My Team and Me Grimlock were taken to Shockwave's lab. We were tough guys and we thought Prime was weak. This before we knew Optimus Prime as Optimus Prime. Prime was walkin' around that day after a battle before he found out we were taken... He came to rescue Me Grimlock and Dinobots..."
Optimus walked over and joined the group, "Left out a couple details Grimlock." The two leaders chuckled as Prime sat down and held up a holoprojector, "I'll show you all what happened. To add to Grimlock's point of view." Everyone got comfy as Grimlock sat back in his chair and relaxed.

As Grimlock said, it was a dark day. No stars in the sky, the sun wasn't shining through the dark sky, and Megatron had already conquered most of Cybertron. Optimus was working with Magnus and Ironhide when he got the word that Grimlock and his men have been taken by Shockwave to the mad scientist's lab tower. Prime stood at the holotable as Magnus pointed out tactical positions and how to better the defenses. Optimus sighed, "This bombing run? Would it kill Grimlock's crew?" Optimus asked as Ultra Magnus nodded, "IF they live then yes, they'll die in the crossfire sir." Optimus nodded and zoomed in on Shockwave's tower near the borders of Kaon. "Optimus, with all due respect, it's a suicide mission to go in there. Also, Megatron has Starscream and his Seeker army surveying the skies and streets all the time." Primeshook his head, "No... It isn't right. Morally and spiritually."
Bumblebee walked up with his metallic brow raised, "Optimus?"
"The Matrix... I just had a vision of Grimlock and the rest of us saving many worlds as possible... We need them." Prime walked away as Magnus ran to him, "Optimus please! This mission is folly!"
"There are autobots in need of help! I cannot stand by and watch them suffer..." Prime grabbed some guns and a knife as he jogged outside toward the barren streets of Iacon. He transformed and drove off toward Kaon. Of course the sea of Rust was between the two Cities left on the plant. Prime transformed and looked around at the vast emptiness of the planet he loved, "This is worth the risk..." He transformed and drove against the harsh and cold winds, braving the unknown land before him. After hours of driving, Optimus made it to Kaon's outskirts. He transformed and hid near the walls of the city, looking for an opening before he looked up and saw only two guards overlooking the sea of Rust. Prime scaled the wall quietly before jumping and taking the two out. He hid the bodies and looked at the terrifying sight before him: Shockwave's Tower... He jumped down from the wall and into the city as he avoided the Decepticon Patrols. Optimus ducked as Starscream flew overhead, a nightly sky-sweep of Decepticon Air-Space. Prime made his way through the buildings as he finally made it to the tower. He looked around some more before coming across a ventilation shaft. He slid inside as he crawled through. Optimus found his way to the security room, jumping in and killing the Decepticon overlooking the cameras. He disabled the system after he found the lab Shockwave was keeping Grimlock and his warriors in. Prime quietly made his way to the lab as he heard Shockwave talking in the room. "Now then... We will experiment more tomorrow..."
"Just... Kill... Me..." Grimlock said as Shockwave shook his head, "All too easy my good subject... Your beast modes are too valuable to me... Besides, as you said many times, Optimus will not come for you anyways..." He started to walk away as Grimlock grumbled, "Prime will come though right Grim?" Slash asked as Grimlock glared at her, "Don't be a fool... He big stupid leader... he no care about anyone but himself..." Shockwave chuckled, "Right you are... You'd make wonderful Decepticons..." He left the room and closed the door. Slash hung her head as Swoop sighed. Then they heard metal clanging and Shockwave shouting, "Security! HELP-OOF!" The door opened as everyone looked at the door, "Who... There...?" Grimlock looked up as his optics became normal and he saw who it was. Everyone in the cages all gasped as Slash shook her head, "Optimus Prime?!" Prime looked at her and nodded. Grimlock shook his head, "This... Impossible..." Prime looked at the buttons as he looked at Grimlock, "What button does he press to let you go?" Grimlock hung his head, "The blue one..." Prime pressed it as Grimlock fell from his torture-bands. Prime caught him and set him down, "Take it easy, try to stand up Grimlock." He ran to Slash's bars as he released her next. The little bot landed on her feet as she grumbled. One-by-one Optimus freed the warriors and the other Autobots trapped in there. He ran to the other room to get all their weapons. He carried Grimlock's sword as he knelt down to the Large Bot, "I believe this is yours..." Grimlock saw the sword. He stood up and held the sword as Prime let him take it. The Prime nodded and pulled out his ion blaster, "We're leaving. All of us. I know how to get out of here but we must hurry. Can you and your team run, Grimlock?" Grimlock stood tall as he held his sword at the ready, "Yeah... We Dinobots... Run..." Prime nodded as he opened the door and lead the Autobots out of the lab. Prime ran faster and slid as he kicked a con, blasted his partner and then stood up, quickly blasting the con he kicked. He turned and checked on the others as Grimlock scoffed, "Nice job... For Prime..." Optimus chuckled, "I'm getting started." He pressed a button and opened an elevator as he pointed to the normal bots, "You guys go and get to a ship. Shockwave has one at the top of the tower. You can fly it halfway through the sea of rust and then drive the rest of the way to Iacon." They nodded as a small bot ran with the others to the elevator. Landmine and Red Alert looked at Prime as they stayed with him. "Sir, we're gonna stay with you." Prime nodded and heard footsteps as five seekers ran by and stopped, glaring at the Autobots. Prime ran at them and blasted on in the face as he kicked and tackled another one. Grimlock stabbed one and ripped him in half as Landmine and Slag punched a seeker. Swoop blasted one as Slash jumped and clawed one's chest, killing them. Prime turned to them, "Follow me!" He ran as everyone followed him. Prime jumped and tackled a vehicon as Grimlock stabbed three of them before blasting another one. They continued as the group was about to make it to the security room but Skyfire walked out of the room. He aimed his gun at them before seeing the horrified looks on the other bots and the determined look on Optimus Prime's face. He put his gun away as he pointed to some stairs and a bridge, "Go that way, third floor, there you will find an exit to the city. The passcode is Omega-Lamnda-XL12O458." Prime looked at him in confusion as Skyfire walked past them, "All units, we got hostiles heading to the lab, converge on that location and work your way to the entrance!" He ran off as Prime nodded and ran to the stairs. Grimlock and the others followed him as the main dinobot looked at Prime, "How you trust him?" Prime kept running, "Call it a feeling..." He opened a door as Starscream turned around and gasped, "Optimus Prime!?" Prime threw his gun at Starscream before punching him and throwing him to the side. Several destroyer-cons ran at the Autobots before the Dinobots transformed into their beast modes and attacked. Grimlock wasn't transforming for some reason but still fought on. Red Alert went to hack the exit door as Slash brought down some Minicons. "We're almost free Grimlock!" She shouted as she punched and kicked some cons. Grimlock killed a destroyer as Prime beat back a seeker and blasted a vehicon. "Keep at it Slash!  We almost free like you say!" Slash smiled but was blasted by Shockwave who was back and awake. Grimlock saw as Slash was dead before she hit the ground. Grimlock heard a voice in his head as time seemingly stopped: "Go forth Grimlock... No more sadness... No Weakness... Show the Decepticons what REAL fear is... Unleash Your POWER!" He roared and put his sword away as he punched a hole through the large destroyer. Grimlock slammed his fists into the ground as he transformed into his T-Rex mode. He roared and started ripping and tearing decepticons apart. Shockwave ran into his tower as the others retreated. A large con almost stabbed Grimlock but Optimus jumped over and punched him down and back. "Slag! Break door!" Grimlock shouted as Slag charged through the door as the other Autobots ran out with him. Prime and Grimlock took out some cons as Grimlock fired his fire-breath, setting the place ablaze. He ran out as Prime ran with them. For some days they wandered the desert of the Sea of Rust. The Dinobots transformed as Grimlock walked alone in his robot mode. Optimus walked to him and looked up at the bot, "I am sorry for the loss of Slash, Grimlock... She was a very brave bot." Grimlock held Slash's body, carried it with them and she came back online for one final time, "G...rimlo...ck... Please... Don't give up on the Autobots... Please... Free our world..." Grimlock held her hand as the dinobots surrounded them, "Help Optimus... Please... He knows what to do... He saved us all... Please Grimlock..." Grimlock nodded as his voicebox cracked for a second, "Me Promise..." Slash started going limp, "'Til All Are-..." She went offline for the last time as Prime knelt down and set his gun beside him. "Primus all-mighty... Protect the spark of Slash for she did not get the chance to see the sun of your beautiful world you have created... Let her know peace as she sleeps with you and the many noble warrior in the Well of Allsparks..." Slash's body turned to gold dust as it faded into the sky. The Dinobots watched in saddened awe as Grimlock knelt down beside Prime and planted his sword in front of him, "Primus... Me Grimlock thank for giving me strength and words of encourage to help me help Optimus for saving us..." Prime placed his hand on Grimlock's shoulder, "I will do everything in my Power to make sure you and your friends will never be taken by Shockwave..." Grimlock looked at him and nodded.

Ultra Magnus walked away from the edge of Iacon before Silverbolt pointed, "Magnus! Elita-1! Look!" They turned and saw Optimus and the Dinobots walk out of the sandstorm, standing tall and ready for the next battle, "We have returned! My friend Grimlock and his Dinobots need medical aid ASAP!" Elita and Magnus ran with some other Autobots as Prime looked at Grimlock who held his hand out to Prime. Optimus nodded and shook his hand, "Friends until the End..." Grimlock nodded and repeated the words, "Friends until the End..."

Prime finished his story as he looked at Grimlock in the present day, "And Me will Never forget how he saved me and my friends..." Everyone smiled as Grimlock sighed happily and Prime nodded, "Grimlock became one of our greatest warriors and one of my best friends in the Universe..." Grimlock chuckled, "Me Grimlock try best."
