Optimus walked through to a spacebridge and arrived on Cybertron. He was keenly aware of Megatron's attacks and the amount of energon he was taking. He decided to look into it the only way he knew how. He transformed and drove along the baron roads of Iacon, making his way through the city towards the one place that could potentially have the answers he was seeking... The Hall of Records... He arrived at the Hall as he transformed and walked inside. He looked around for the secret entrance and spoke his secret word to get in. He walked to the center of the room as he opened the covenant of Primus, the book of the transformers and their world's history. He noticed some pages were missing and thus walked deeper into the planet via the cave system Alpha Trion used to enter Vector Sigma. As Optimus walked through the dark corridors below Cybertron's surface, he came across Alpha Trion's old guide and friend: Scrounge. Prime knelt down, opened the small bot's chest and plugged in an energon crystal he brought with him. He closed the chest as Scrounge woke up. Optimus waited as Scrounge looked at the Prime and tilted his head, "You're him... Optimus... Orion!" Prime nodded, "Scrounge, I require access to Vector Sigma. Cybertron is in grave danger..." Scrounge nodded and rubbed his hands together nervously, "Yes but... Do I know you're the last of the Primes?" Optimus showed him the Matrix as Scrounge nodded and walked ahead of Optimus, "Quickly Optimus, we must make haste!" He tried to run but unfortunately, Scrounge just wasn't built for it. Prime transformed into his truck mode and let Scrounge in as the two traveled to Vector Sigma. Once they arrived, Prime transformed as Scrounge sat on his shoulder. He typed in a passcode and then said a designation, "Designation: Orion Pax. Junior Archivist." The door opened as Prime walked to Vector Sigma. The Sphere floated and rotated as a voice spoke, "What do you seek to know, Optimus Prime?"
"I seek the answers of what pages are missing from within the covenant of Primus..." Prime set the book down and turned to the missing pages. Vector Sigma scanned as a hologram of Alpha Trion walked towards the book and nodded, "Hmmm... It would seem that Shockwave tore out the pages of the prophecy of Dark Cybertron..." Scrounge backed up as Prime sat down in a chair, "My friend, explain to me this prophecy..." Optimus rubbed his metal chin as Vector Sigma changed the room into an old version of Cybertron. "In the beginning, Primus attempted to make life with his brother: the Chaos Bringer. He did not know that this being would betray him for he went by a different name..." Optimus nodded as he got up and walked around the room, "Thus that led to the corruption of these beings and the Creation of the 13 Primes and the Matrix..." Alpha Trion nodded as he pointed to the ancient beings, "After the dark one was cast out of Cybertron, there was a dark plan he had. This plan would bring other powerful forces from Cybertron's past, future and congruent timelines... These forces not only threaten Cybertron with their power, but Dark Cybertron will call forth the destruction of the Planet and the Universe... Primus will die..." Optimus nodded as he closed the book and set it in front of Vector Sigma. "Keep the book here. I will return. I must save Cybertron and the other worlds from this doom and Megatron's wrath." Alpha Trion nodded as the hologram faded. Scrounge walked over, "What about me sir?" Prime looked at him and transformed, "You will come with me to Autobot City on Cybertron. Help the others find ways to stop Dark Cybertron and prepare all defenses for any and all attacks."

After getting to the City, Optimus told the City Commanders about the situation and they began to listen to Scrounge. The defenses were being set and armed. Optimus walked through the space bridge to Earth as he walked to Ultra Magnus, "Sir. I heard of your findings. Will we be forced to abandon earth?" Optimus turned to Magnus as the two walked, "No. We must keep at least 40 Autobots on earth. This planet requires our defenses. How is Captain Fairborne?"
"She's making a new strike force of sorts with our weaponry to combat a human terrorist group." Magnus replied. Optimus nodded, "Besides the TRF, I think that's a good idea."
"Sir, Hot Rod says he's ready for more training. Are you certain he's the right one?" Magnus asked.
"I was no different from him. He's an out-of-the-box thinker, perhaps a little brash but he has much to learn. With the proper guidance, he is just right for his Destiny." Optimus replied as the two walked into the main control center. There several Autobots doing their jobs and then Hot Rod walked in reading a book from the nearby human book store. He sat at a table and read it as Hot Shot drank some energon. "Huh. Never took you for a reader Hot Rod. What gives?"
"I like books. It's a good hobby to get into aside from going to the blaster range and taking out decepti-drones." He kept his optics on the book and gently turned the page. Hot Shot nodded being impressed. Chromia sat with them as she rose a metallic brow, "What book are ya readin'?" she asked Hot Rod who smiled and replied, "The Hobbit. It's a great book. A classic. Optimus recommended it to me actually." Prime walked over and sat with them, "Greetings friends." They all smiled as Hot Rod closed his book, "Hey sir, what's on the agenda today?"
"Today you learn the true origin of the Transformers..." Optimus replied as Hot Rod nodded. Hot Shot scoffed, "Lucky bot. I got theories but they're definitely wrong." Prime chuckled, "Maybe so, but we are allowed to believe what we wish." They nodded as Optimus got up with Hot Rod and the two walked through the city.
