Sadness

Blinding as a bat
Scared as a cat
A light that no one escapes
Too little and too late
The limelight hit me like never before
A robber taking from a store
Such an overwhelming desire to fall
A dead bird's call
Somehow the raindrops fell like a beat
Gold furnished in everlasting heat
My soul taken aback
A lack of clarity
A certain knack
Where I knew not of serenity
Untimely despair
With a hint of revenge
Now I knew the difference of fair
And what to avenge?
The love we had?
It makes me so happy and glad
Two hearts become one
A vast promise that cannot be undone
