Criminal

Say somebody cared about you
What would you do?
Say you gave an ounce of shit
Would that be the end of it?
Day by day
Night by night
I feel as though my true self strikes
Im entertained with what's right and wrong
All through society and catchy songs
Would it ever kill for once to listen to someone?
Or don't you think it would benefit the cost of a loved one?
We all say we love each other with ease
Yet in the end, it's is so hard to please
Don't think for a minute I feel remorse or empathy
That went out the country along with sympathy
No one wants to see you succeed
No one wants to be begging at their knees
Yet we all hold something dear
Since we are beings of self-interest
I wish it was all clear
So maybe we can put it to rest
All those dreams she had
All that hope and imagination
Ruined by what made her sad
Ruined by all creation
Criminals have one thing right
No one will ever give a damn about you
Of course, that's in their sight
But as far as I know, they have the right to say that too
So since birth she has felt like a criminal
And why not?
She's been treated like an animal
What makes you think she won't retaliate on you?
You think you're safe too?
Not a chance sweetheart
Because she was cruel from the start
