Tess and Arthur lived their days filled with a repeating cycle of training and schooling without ever forgetting a argument over something stupid every once in a while (Mostly Tess induced) It was a repeating cycle yet Arthur wouldn't trade it for the world. He found joy and happiness in the simple things in life.

Just like he promised Silvia too. Not forgetting the other promise he made to her all those years ago. It wasn't in his capability now, maybe it would be decades before he would achieve it. All he knew was he wouldn't die without completing that promise.

Before he knew it four years had passed. Tess and him have grown closer through time while Elijah still hasn't managed to find a girlfriend. He now stood at a strong age of sixteen. In his second to last year of schooling graduating presented itself closer than ever. It was Tess's last year and she made it clear how much she didn't want to go back home after she graduated.

Arthur grew sour at this as well since he knew a very prominent solution he just wasn't sure if he wanted to act on it. There would be no way to downplay it; he knows that yet he finds himself thinking about it more as the days go on.

One thing holding him back was through the days, whispers of war in the future grew higher. Arthur knew he didn't have much time left to grow stronger. He wanted to protect Tess, and his family more than anything.

Fear of failure grew like a poison corrupting his blood stream slowly tearing away at him.

He just had to remind himself he wasn't alone like in his previous life. He had someone capable by his side. No matter how strong he got she always stayed close by. Her assimilation into her beast will grew amazingly. He was glad he gave it to her all those years ago. She had close to mastery on her first stage as the human eye could see, she still had trouble controlling her second stage but she grew better at it each day.

No matter how much Arthur can ramble on his head about protecting her he wouldn't be surprised if one day he found himself being protected by her. She undoubtedly stood on top of Xrus Academy with him in the strongest even standing on top of all known mages in this continent now.

Arthur hasn't seen much of the lances recently so it would be hard to say how she fares with them.

They were strong. That was true at least to this continent's standard so he couldn't help fearing the other side of the ocean. What were there strongest soldiers like he couldn't tell you.

Even with all his underlying influence he still had so many questions unanswered.

Right now he explored a dungeon with Tess. They had a week off of school so they decided to go exploring in some high level dungeons.

Not being able to go adventuring on their own under the school's name (At least not in A or S class dungeons) They opted for getting their own license.

With Director Goodsky sponsoring them it was more than simple enough to go through the process. Now at the tender age of sixteen Arthur was now both an A class and an S class adventurer. While under different names he thought it funny that if he didn't hold back his skills he could have been a S rank when he was eight. Proves to show how flawed the power rankings were in this world. Both adventurer ranking and core purification had major flaws and they would be better off without them entirely.

If people stopped worrying about a rank or color they could actually start working to be generally stronger than someone. Color's don't mean anything in the heart of Warfare. No one will stop to care about your purification level when it means life or death.

As Tess and Arthur slashed through a field of strong mana beasts they could feel the presence of something stronger down the dungeon. It was just them so they shouldn't take on a boss by themselves, at least not a boss in a dungeon like this.
