"Moon, Alexis." McGonnagall called. The small girl skipped up to the little stool, her ginger hair flowing behind her, sat down and placed the hat on her head.

"Hmmm. Not smart enough for Ravenclaw. Oops, sorry, not humble enough for Hufflepuff." The hat said. "Slytherin or Gryffindor. Judging by your family past most of them have been in Slytherin. Hmmm. Then it better be SLYTHERIN!" The hat called. The girl gently took the hat off of her head and flattened her, now, frizzy hair. She walked to the Slytherin table and sat beside her brother.

"Well done Lexi." The girl's big brother said to her, hugging her. The girl wondered why she had been called Alexis Moon and Not Alexis Snape, but she didn't mind. Professor McGonnagall is a teacher at the school and she should know best. The girl watched everyone get sorted as she waited for the food. Her big brother had explained to her what had happened when they arrived at Hogwarts so she wasn't too amazed. But the thing that truly amazed her was the ceiling. It was charmed to show the sky and all it's details. The girl happily tucked into the food that appeared in front of her. It was more food than her and her brother had ever had in her life, as her family wasn't faring well and her father fed little to Her, Her Brother and Her Mother. She didn't let anyone know. Only those she truly trusted, that being her brother's, well she was her best friend too, best friend. Lily Evans. The small girl stood up when the students were informed to and went off to bed. As she was walking through the corridors she bumped into a 2nd year student. She watched as her brother glared at him before gently dragging her to the Slytherin common room, in the dungeons.

"Don't interact with Black or any of his friends. I forbid you." Her brother muttered as they walked to the common room. The girl nodded and slumped to her bedroom. She walked into the girls' dorm and flopped onto her bed, somehow worn out from everything.
