K E N D A L L"You're going! Now stop complaining and get ready!" Adri exclaimed at a groaning Kendall. She pushed the blonde up the staircase towards their room, holding the book Kendall was reading away from her."
"But what if it's weird? I haven't seen him since the Ball! He only got back from the Burrow a few hours ago-"
"Silence. You are going to the party, it's New Year's Eve for Merlin's sake!" The brunette proclaimed, pushing her best friend into their room and closing the door.
"But what if-"
Adriannah quickly slapped a hand over Kendall's mouth and glared at her.
"The boys invited us to Gryffindor Tower for a party, that's all. Just go have fun."
Kendall pushed her friend's hand off her mouth and scoffed, "You're just going to ditch me and go snog Lee."
"Then go snog Fred! I don't see an issue!"
Exhausted from this conversation, Kendall flung herself onto her bed and stared at the canopy above.
"The issue is that I don't know where we stand. He had to go home the next day and I haven't seen him since, we haven't talked about it!"
Adriannah followed her friend and laid down beside her, "What is there to talk about? You like him, he likes you. You kissed him, he kissed you, so what?"
"Easy for you to say," Kendall murmured, rolling her eyes, "You and Lee already discussed where you stand on your snog sessions and he was here at the castle during break."
"That's fair," Adriannah sighed and looked up at the ceiling.
The silence in the room wasn't thick. Kendall knew she was beginning to cave. How bad could it be?
"Fineeee!" Kendall groaned, turning to face Adri. "I'll go," she muttered.
She felt the bed move as Adriannah jumped up and ran to the wardrobe, "Finally! You really kept that going, I thought you'd give in faster."
"Why would you assume I'd cave!?"
"What reason did you give me not to assume that?" Adriannah asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Shut it," muttered Kendall as she stood, walking over to her own wardrobe.
After scanning past her robes, Kendall pulled out a thin-strapped, black dress, and a matching cloak, for the walk to Gryffindor tower. After she was changed, the girl glanced around the unusually quiet room. "Where's Margot?" she asked.
Adriannah, now in a deep navy, velvet dress, spared her friend a glance and nodded with approval, "You look hot."
Kendall grinned and did a little twirl, "Thanks, so do you."
"But Margot is in the Hufflepuff common room, probably getting a New Year's kiss from her lovely lady friend," Adriannah smirked.
Kendall let out a small laugh, "She'd kill you for saying that."
"Well then good thing she's not here," Adri spoke, grabbing her cloak and walking towards the door. She sent her friend a small smirk before she reached for her wand to open the door, "Let's go. We don't want to keep our boys waiting."

When the girls reached the Fat Lady Portrait, the sounds of faint music seeped through the canvas.
The Fat Lady looked them both up and down before speaking, "Ugh, more students, and Ravenclaws at that. PASSWORD?"
"Banana Fritters."
