you woke up in the room Ernesto had put you in. you slowly opened your eyes and yawned as you stretched your arms. as soon as you woke up, you looked around and smiled to the delight it wasn't all a dream. you were still in his mansion. but then, you looked at your body and notice half of it already turned into a skeleton! you gasped in fear, now getting off the bed and running to the window. you opened the golden colored curtains, and sighed in relief as you saw it was still night time. you knew you'd turn into a skeleton forever if you stayed here after sunrise. so, you probably slept for about one or two hours.

you fixed your hair and clothes, now about to get out of the fancy guest room. you opened the door, and raised your eyebrows as you felt something blocking the door half way. you managed to sneak through the half opened door to see what was behind it, and you widened your eyes to the surprise.

the whole entrance of the room was filled with presents and golden petal flowers. were they all for you? just to make sure, you crouched and picked one present up, and noticed a small note on it. "to (y/n): it was great meeting you! please enjoy this devoted gift. with pleasure, Selena Quintanilla-Pérez" is what was wrote on the note.

you smiled happily as a mexican singer was writing this for you, and also took her time by giving you a gift. you looked around, and noticed all the other presents had notes on them as well. you got a present from Pedro Infante, Juan Gabriel, Valentín Elizalde and much more mexican idols! you also noticed a small painting laying on the wall. it was a portrait of you! you looked even closer, and saw a signature, signfying this drawing was made by the very one, Frida Kahlo.

you were in shock that such a famous artist drew you. and she finished it in one night! how did she manage it? but then you remembered, she wasn't in the party. she was probably at her art gallery, preparing the decorations for Ernesto's sunrise spectacular, so she must have a free time.

"you like the gifts, I see" a familiar voice came from behind you. you let out a yelp and jumped a little as you looked behind you. it was Ernesto! with a small dog sitting on his hand, looking at you as it wagged it's tail.

a sigh of relief came from you, and he chuckled softly as he looked at you. "I didn't mean to alarm you. you slept for a while, you were pretty tired, huh?" his words made you smile a little. then, you noticed another thing. the place was rather... quiet and dark. as you slept, the party was probably already over. you were a little disappointed that you couldn't hold yourself from falling asleep and continue to enjoy the party, but your main goal was to meet Ernesto only. and luckily for you, you completed it.

-------------

Ernesto led you down the stairs, with the sound of fireworks still booming in the skies, shown up through the glass ceiling of the mansion. "you might have missed a little of the party, but do not worry. soon, the party will move across town for my sunrise spectacular!" he told you proudly, the tiny dog barking in his hand at the other dogs playing together, running after Ernesto down the stairs. you were walking infront of him, looking in awe and with a constent smile at the amazing details of the mansion, now lighting only from the soft candle lights.

Ernesto gave a pet on the dog in his head, and let out a gasp at a great idea that just popped in his skull. "(y/n)! you must come to the show! you will be my guest of honor!" he said happily as he crouched to let the dog in his hand jump off and run to his fellas, then approached you to put a hand on your shoulder.

you gasped in slight shock and happiness, looking at your idol in awe. "you mean it??" you asked excitedly. "of course, my girl!" he replied with a happy chuckle, looking down at you with a big smile, giving you the impression of 'how could I joke about it'.

before you could replied with a "yes", you looked down at your hands and remembered the devestating thing that could prevent you from going to the concert. your smile fell down as you sighed sadly, looking back at Ernesto. "I... I can't. I have to get home before sunrise" you said, lifting up your shirt a little to reveal your stomach that was completly disappearing, but your spine and ribs can be seen.

the news made Ernesto's smile fall as well, now leaning down to look at the process of fading your body has performed. he showed a concerned look, then cringed a little as he raised up again. "ui! I really should get you back home" he said as he turned around, looking for a way to do it. you showed a sympathic face as you lowered your shirt, now looking at the skeleton curiously as you saw him walking to a big vase of golden petals.

as he reached the vase, he grabbed and exeminated the petal between his fingers in a slight smile, then looked back at you. "it has been an honor" he stated in a proud smile, walking up to you again with the petal in his hand. even though the disappointment, you couldn't help but smile at him as he said that sentence.

"I'm sorry to see you go, (y/n)" he said as he stoof half a meter from you. "I hope you die very soon."

at his last sentence, you felt a discomfort in your stomach as you showed a slightly scared yet confused look. it sure wasn't something you expected to hear.

once he saw your expression, he immediatlly know what he said sounded wrong in so many ways. he looked at you with a concerned smile, then began to chuckle nervously as he looked down. "you... you know what I mean" he said as he shrugged, looking back at you with a still a little embarrassed smile. you gave that same smile back, knowing exactly what he meant.

his smiled became warmer as he now kneeled before you, placing his left hand on your shoulder, while the petal was in his right hand infront of you. it was time for your fate...

"(y/n), I give you my blessing..." he began with a proud look, the petal began glowing in orange and yellow lights, and harmonic sound of sparkles came from it. you couldn't help but look at it in surprise and awe, hypnotized by the beautiful sight. the musician chuckled a little to your reaction before he continued. "to go home, enjoy your evening normally like nothing happened... and be the great singer you were always meant to be" he spoke with a warm voice, closening the petal to you.

once you heard his last sentence, you raised your look at Ernesto with even more awe than you had on the petal. not only your incredibly famous great great grandfather gave you faith to become a singer, it was also a blessing, which means you HAD to make your dream come true.

your smile grew wider and wider as you looked at your musician relative, and you didn't hesitate before you pounced and wrapped your arms around his neck in a warm embrace, your cheek resting on his shoulder.

the skeleton flinched back a little in surprise as you hugged him, but he returned to smiling warmly. a soft, quiet chuckle came from him as he put his hands on your back, returning the hug, resting his cliffed chin over your shoulder.

you were so busy on inhaling his champagne and vanilla colonge with a happy smile as you kept hugging him with your eyes closed, that you didn't notice he slowly approached the petal to you. and with a flash of light and golden petals flowing around you like a tornado, you were back in Ernesto's shrine in the living world.

you almost fell as you didn't feel him anymore, and opened your eyes to see that you're back in your home town. a sad expression was on your face since you didn't stay longer for Ernesto's sunrise spectacular, but deep inside you were joyful that you finally met your idol; the one and only Ernesto De La Cruz.

yet... little did you know that you might meet him again.. very soon.
