"I swear Kalos, you gave me a heart attack when you ran off in the middle of dinner two days ago, I thought you were kidnapped or worse killed, you really need to start telling me if anything's wrong or what's on your mind," Jenny scolded, Kalos sat on his bed with his hands on his knees, "And that's not the tip of the iceberg, you came back bloodied and bruised, while Blue has visible rings on his wrists, carrying a knife in blood and you looked nearly dead, what happened to you that night?" Jenny gripped his shoulders, digging her nails into his skin, Kalos sighed, "I was not in the right mood so I took Blue to a calm fly around, we found some people heading towards the palace, we fought and of course we won and I did receive a few scratches here and there, but at least I didn't die, neither did Blue." Jenny let go of his shoulders and sat next him, "You're right about the last part, but I can't risk losing you too," Kalos looked at Jenny with sorrowful eyes, he had never seen his cousin so upset or worried for years, he felt a sharp pain of guilt in his stomach, he knew he had emotionally hurt her, one thing he never wanted to do. He patted her shoulder, "I'm sorry, I didn't realize how much it really scared you or hurt you, I promise it won't happen again," Jenny looked Kalos directly into his eyes, "Promise?" she held up her pinky, Kalos lifted his fist and stuck out his pinky, "Promise," they wrapped their pinkies and formed a promise. "This just like when we were kids," Kalos giggled, Jenny glared at him, "You still are a child to my eyes," they unraveled their pinkies, "Well, I'm gonna head to the garden and check on Blue," he got up onto his feet, Jenny followed, "I'll go with you, for fresh air and away from the servants of the place."
They exited the castle and into the garden. The scent of beautiful flowers hit Kalos' nose, the breeze gentle and calm, a few strands of his hair lifted for only a second. The sight is just as breath taking as always, vegetables, fruits, and flowers were sitting in their own small fields. A stone bench sat in front of the flower field, the stone was carved out from marble with colors of white and a faded grey, and designs associated with the interior of the castle travel from the edges to the legs of the bench. A chimera stood on it's hind legs lies on each leg of the bench, a design of the edges resembles ropes twinning together with each of the chimera's head peaking from the gaps of the twine. A man sat on the bench with a bow and arrow sitting next to him, Kalos recognized the man to be Belial. "Hello, what are you doing here your highness?" Jenny asked in a gentle voice, Belial turned to face her, he seemed surprised, "You don't have to call me that, I prefer you calling me Belial or Bell," he smiled gently. "Right sorry, but why are you here?" Jenny asked walking her way to Bell, he replied with a grim expression, "I was trying to learn archery, but I can't seem to hit the target," he pointed to seven arrows sticking out from the ground, and none hit near the target. Kalos looked at Bell, he seemed disappointed, Kalos patted Bell's back, "Can you show me how you shoot your arrows?" Bell looked up at Kalos, "Sure."
Bell got to his feet and launched an arrow, it hit the ground, Kalos immediately knew what the issue was, he was facing perpendicular to the arrow's direction, but not holding the arrow right. "I know what the issue is," Kalos stood next to Bell, "Really? What's wrong?" Kalos created a bow and arrow out of blood, which came from a small bottle, hidden in his cloak. "You are facing the right way when launching the arrow, but you're not holding the arrow right," Bell watched closely as Kalos pulls the arrow back to his cheek. "You were holding the arrow with all of your fingers, try using two," Kalos held his arrow with his index finger and his thumb. "When you're aiming, look at the target with both eyes open, it helps quite a lot," Kalos launched the arrow and it hit the center of the target. "Now you give it a try," Kalos sat down along side Jenny and watched as Bell pulled the arrow back with two fingers, and let go of the arrow, it hit the outer ring of the target. "I-I finally hit the target, thank you Kalos," Bell hugged Kalos tightly. "Do you want to practice archery with me?" Kalos stood and Jenny followed, she formed her own bow and arrow, "Of course, Bell."
