Kalos sat on the edge of his bed, weaving his fingers, hands up to his face, he thought about his life before working for the king. He was born in a village, full of life and colors, his family kept a wooly dragon. A family of three, a sweet and lovely mother, a strong and intelligent father, and Kalos, the little boy with energy that could tire his parents out any day of the week. On his ninth birthday, his village was attacked by demons. The locals were burned to ash, his father tried to defind for his family, he ended up dying. His mother hid him in the crawlspace, she was empaled with a spear. Kalos sat in the dark alone, crying for his parents to hold him tightly. Once the monsters have left the area, Kalos came out of the crawlspace, his family and freinds dead, the buildings were piles of ashes, and his home was the only one standing. He stumbled apon a locket, inside was a photo of him, his father, and his mother, he took the necklace and began his journey.

A year passed, he entered a different town, the locals threw anything they can find. Glass, food, knives, the local cheif threw half an onion into Kalos' eye. The poor boy ran out as fast as his legs could carry him, he lost hope when his older cousin found him. He was raised with Jenny by his aunt and uncle, it only lasted two years when the same thing happened. He and Jenny survived, they were taken by a demon on a search. Leroy kept them as his servents since than, Kalos learned a thing or two about Hemomancy, the magic that menipulates blood, Jenny became a hemomancer as well. Kalos was born a vampire, his hemomancy came from his father, his vamperic blood was from his mother.

He pulled out the locket from a drawer that was connected to his night stand. The locket opened, the photo did not change, he whispered to the photo, "I'll make him pay," a tear fell from his right eye and onto his hand. Jenny walked in quietly, she placed her hand onto his shoulder, he did not move, when she hugged him, he hugged back. "I know how you feel. I'm not so sure if you could kill him," Jenny mumbled, Kalos patted her back, "It may not be easy, I will not rest until our family and the village can rest." They let go from the hug, "Maby you could try with Blue," She suggested, "Blue is strong, but I don't want to risk it. I don't want to lose Blue or you. Leroy took our family, friends, and our neighbors away, I'll take his son's life for the old man to suffer." Kalos clinched his hands into fists, the chain of the locket was held tightly. Jenny shook her head, "I can't allow you to get yourself killed, we don't even know Belial." Kalos laughed softly, "It's a little odd, we know the king, since we were twelve and sixteen. We never saw what his child looks like," Jenny sat next to him on the bed. She rubbed her chin as she said, "Maybe he is tall like you," Kalos raised a brow, "Or short like you, Jenny," he smiled. "I wonder if he has strong bone structure to his possibly dark face," Jenny tapped her forehead, "Or a shapeless head and light of face."

Night fell, Jenny and Kalos sat around suggesting the description of Leroy's oldest child, Belial Agner. "He's tall, dark skinned, has strong facial structures, short brown hair, lean, and has brown eyes," Jenny described her picture, Kalos image was a little bit opposite, "I think he's short, light skinned, has a shapeless head, long black hair, chubby, and has blue eyes." Jenny rolled her eyes as a joke, "You love the color blue, don't you?" Kalos nodded, "I think blue's a pretty color." Jenny stood from the bed and made her way to the door, "Tomorrow, I'll give you a hair cut. We'll be meeting Belial in the morning, you look like Rapunzel," Kalos found himself holding the locket in his hand, he replied to Jenny, "I didn't know we'll be meeting the kid, you can cut my hair anytime." Jenny was outside of the door, she began to close it when Kalos called out to her, "I love you, Jenny," she called back, "I love you too, Kalos." The door shut, Kalos set the necklace back into the drawer, he put on his night wear, a loose, white shirt, and a pair of white loose pants. He switched on his lamp, turned the lights off, slipped into bed, than switched the lamp off. Kalos turned to his left side and closed his eyes. Blue sat under the window, Kalos sleeps five stories above, there is  a ledge beneath where Blue likes to keep a close eye on Kalos. Blue curled up into a ball and fell asleep.
