Kalos looked down to his plate full of food, none of the meal has been disturbed, "Am I feeling okay?" Kalos thought, Leroy eyed Kalos, "Mr. Kalos you don't look happy, or angry. Is there any emotion you're feeling?" Leroy asked, raising a brow, Jenny glared a sharp eye at her cousin, Kalos shrugged his shoulder, "I don't know." Belial stood from his seat, "Excuse me, I'm not feeling well," everybody watched as Belial walked out of the room calmly, Kalos exited the room without anyone noticing him.
The night air kissed Kalos' skin, he walked around back to where Blue would be sitting, and swung a brown bag over his shoulder. Once Blue was in sight, he whistled a soft tune, and Blue trotted towards him. "I need some time out of the company for a little while," Kalos whispered, scratching Blue's cheek. "How about we fly around for a short while?" he asked, Blue nodded while wagging his tail, Kalos climbed onto Blue's back, a small sound was heard, the sound of someone exiting the castle. Kalos ignored the sound and Blue quietly took flight.
They were out of sight from the castle when Kalos began to breathe rhythmically to relax, Blue looked behind himself, nothing was following them, "This has been quite a day, hasn't it Blue?" Kalos asked, Blue replied with a deep growl. "I know, dinner was different, I wasn't hungry, Bell felt sick, and I need a break from this event," Kalos looked down at Blue's head, Blue made a concerned look, "I don't know what is really on my mind." Blue sniffed the air and growled, Kalos whispered, "Blue, Something wrong?" Blue began to lower to the ground, Kalos spotted a pile of burned wood, they landed and Blue sniffed the ground.
Kalos walked over and crushed a small, charred stick in his hand, "This was burned this morning," Blue sniffed at one spot and looked up at Kalos to come over. Kalos walked over to Blue, a large knife, the handle was polished, red wood, and a snake, made of gold, wrapped around the handle, the head of the snake and the blade were in the ground. Kalos pulled the knife out, the blade was made of steal, teeth on one side the blade, the other side was smooth, and the head of the snake had ruby eyes. Blue pointed his nose to the direction of the castle and growled. Kalos put the knife in his bag.
"Looks like we have some hunting to do," Kalos hopped onto Blue's back, "How far are they?" he asked himself, Blue looked at Kalos, "You can run or fly if you want Blue," Kalos grabbed onto Blues fur. Blue sniffed the ground to determine the distance of their prey, Blue began running in full speed, Kalos figured the prey wasn't far, Blue only runs when his target is close.
Half a minute had passed and three figures appear in the distance, two were well built, and one was lean. Blue continue to run when Blue's front legs were grabbed by vines from the ground, and Kalos was sent flying, rolling violently on the ground. His hair was in his face, he brushed it out of the way, the three men walked over to him, and formed a circle. The man with a long beard grabbed Kalos' hair and pulled his head up, "So you were following us?" the bearded man said, in a very deep voice, Kalos gave him a dirty look, the bald, built man kicked Kalos in the stomach with all of his strength, Kalos let out a grunt of pain.
"Speak!! Why are you following us?" the lean man shouted, his voice was higher. Kalos looked up and replied, "Blue picked up your scents, you weren't very far, neither are you intimidating," Kalos smiled, without showing any teeth. "Kick him again!" the lean man commanded, the bald man was about to kick, when Kalos pulled out the knife and stabbed the man holding his hair in the arm, causing the pursuer to let go, Kalos quickly ran to the center of the circle, Kalos looked at the knife, "This is a well made weapon, I'll keep it."
"That was my knife," light blue fire shot at the bald man, burning him to ashes, Blue bit the vines and ran to Kalos' aid. The two remaining men charged at Kalos, blood flowed out of the larger man's body and into Kalos' hand, the thin fellow stopped, but too close to Kalos, the blood grabbed his torso and arms and pulled him to Kalos' face. "Now this idea just poorly planned, you didn't even know how to handle a dragon," Kalos grinned, teeth showing, the now helpless man stared with wide eyes. Kalos sank his fangs into the man's neck, Blue trotted, delightful to see Kalos alright, he began wagging his tail with glee.
The man was then drained from blood, Kalos let go of the body and the remaining blood flowed onto the ground, "Never thought blood could taste this bland, but at least my stomach wasn't stabbed." He looked up at Blue, the dragon licked his face the same way a joyful dog licks it's owner, "Let's go home," Kalos hopped onto Blue's back and began home.
