First campout together

"Let me get this straight, this Leroy has more than one son. The oldest son is the next heir and is ten years older than me and Hachiro?" Lauren asked, Galaxia nodded as she snacked on a cracker. "The thing is, in order for the child to be crowned, the former ruler has to die at some point. Leroy is seventy two right now." The group came upon a mass of land, Hachiro lowered the pegasus, "Here we will be staying for a few days," Kosuke shouted, loud enough for the team to hear. They landed and Lauren had a hard time getting off the horse. They sat in a small circle, Kosuke explained, "Leroy is getting weaker, luckily he will be a bit easier to take down. Belial is gaining power, this one is on the friendly side, which means we can spare the boy. Kalos is strong, but not as strong as Leroy, but stronger than any of us, Kalos has a wooly dragon that can kill and eat us. Jenny is the same story as Kalos, accept she has a wyvern that is very intelligent and fast. We need to train Lauren as best as we could to take the king down together," Lauren questioned, "You're basically saying those four or six are difficult to defeat one on one?" Luna answered, "Yes, our plan is to defeat or kill Leroy, Kalos, and Jenny one at a time as a group. Honestly, we don't know who is weaker than who, so we think Jenny is a safe option." Jimmy claimed, "What if Kalos wants to kill the demon king like we do, I mean the poor guy watched his entire home town die and burn. If we could convince Kalos to be on our side, we can out number the king and the chimera." Galaxia threw a nearby rock at Jimmy's head, "Kalos will suck out all of our blood before he decides," Lauren stared at Jimmy, "There is a chimera?" Hachiro looked at her terrified face, "You know what a chimera is?" Lauren nodded, "I heard it is a lion, the tail is a snake's head, a goat's head sits next to the lion's head, I heard of a story that a chimera had the goat breathing fire," Luna stroked her cat.

The sun lowered to a golden orange, Kosuke went off to get some wood for a fire. Galaxia sat on Lauren's lap, "I believe we can beat the king and his trusted servants once we get some training down, Kalos is a complete psychopath, and Jenny is such a sociopath," Galaxia said as she patted Lauren's knee. Lauren sat between Hachiro and Luna, she asked Luna, "What is the name of your cat?" Luna replied, scratching the cat's chin, "Her name is midnight, she is here as my companion," Hachiro looked at Lauren and smiled, "Have you dated anyone, Lauren?" she looked up at him, "No, not really." Galaxia blurted out, "Is this some kind of romance cliché?" Luna began laughing, Hachiro looked away in embarrassment, Lauren glared at Galaxia with a face that spoke, "Really?" Kosuke came back with pieces of wood, big enough for him to wrap his arm around, he placed them down and began to make them into a pyramid kind of structure. "Hachiro, can you light it up for me, my arms got tired, " Kosuke asked, once he finished making the shape, Hachiro placed his hand on the wood and smoke was rising, he pulled back his hand, just in time for the logs and twigs to catch flame. Lauren watched in amazement, "That is impressive" she complemented, Hachiro smiled, "I use multi magic. Kosuke uses multi magic better than I do." He patted Lauren's shoulder and she thought, "This is an interesting group," Galaxia held out her hands towards the fire. 

Night came upon them, everyone lied down on their backs, Lauren was on her left side facing the fire, "Things will be better," she whispered to herself. She closed her eyes and passed out quickly. Unaware of their surroundings, the team did not realize a painted draft horse was walking around them, Jimmy woke up and saw the horse, he fell back asleep. The horse grew curious and nudged his nose around Lauren, she shuffled a little. It wondered to Hachiro and to Kosuke, after three minutes, the horse trotted away into the night.
