Laxh woke up the next morning to odd sounding gun shots. She bolted out of bed and ran down the hall. Axel caught her half-way through a door-frame. He grabbed her and put his hand over her mouth, whispering a quick "Hush!".

She squirmed in his grip as the gun shots continued for a few minutes. When the shots had settled down Axel dragged Laxh back into the guest bedroom. He closed the door behind them and started looking frantically for a place to hide.

"What's going on? What was that?" Laxh asked.

"Hush!!" Axel said again. "We need to disappear. Now."

"I have some hybrid magic I bought from a moogle. Would that work?" Laxh whispered back. "It's supposed to be a force-field, but I could indent the red squares to make it a shield." She pulled out an odd little box that humans called a Rubix Cube.

"Oh, so now you're into the black magic market? Nu-uh. Hybrid charms are strictly forbidden." Axel snatched the cube and was careful to keep his vioce down. "Got anything else?"

"Which would you rather put up with? Hybrid magic or your possible death?" Laxh glared at him.

Axel stood silent for a minute. Something banged in the background and a loud crashing noise helped Axel make up his mind. "Hybrid magic."

"Okay." Laxh took the cube scratched a hole in the red stickers and then tore the green stickers off. She pulled a half-potion out of her pocket and poured it on the cube, then she threw it in the air. "That should do it." The force field solidified around them seconds before storm-troopers burst into the room.

The troops looked in the room, unable to see the two figures hiding in plan sight.

After the storm troopers had ran-sacked the house and left, the two Nobodies went out into the twin suns. There in the sand lay the smouldering remains of two people.

"Owen..." Laxh gasped. "You let them die, Axel? After all they did for us?"

Axel's face clouded over. "I- they- We aren't even supposed to be here! It's not our fault the law-enforcement eradicated them! This had nothing to do with us!"

Laxh fell to her knees, placing her hands in the sand. "I told them we were runaways, this is my fault."

"This wasn't anyone's fault. It happened, all we can do is move on." Axel tried to help Laxh to her feet. "Come on, they're dead. Get over it."

Laxh's eyes filled with tears. "Yes, sir."

The two passed through a dark corridor back to The Castle That Never Was. Neither of them said anything as Saix made a note of their return. "You two are late. What happened?"

Axel took a deep breath in. "Absolutely nothing happened. I'll write my report in my room. Number XII can fill you in an the details." He turned abruptly and left Laxh standing with Saix.

"Hey, Thick." Demyx said teasingly to Laxh. "Long time no bleed."

"Shut up, Waterfall." Ever since Demyx had found out that Laxh's attack element was blood he had persisted to tease her about how she was presumably thicker than he was. "I don't feel like beating the crap out of you today."

"Ooh, a cuss word. I should shove a bar of soap into your mouth."

Laxh smirked. "You don't smell like you have one of those."

Demyx took a step back. "H-hey, it's not my fault the showers aren't working today." He whined.

"Dude, you're a water-wielder. You can spray water any time you like."

"Yeah, but that'd be so much work!"

"Enough of this!" Xaldin stepped in-between them. "Why do you two constantly bicker like children?" Laxh and Demyx glared at each other. Neither of them had a chance to say anything before Saix cleared his throat.

"Xemnas has called an emergency meeting."

"Xion has left the Organization. No one is to go after her." Xemnas' voice boomed. His face remained far off and indifferent as he listened to the members' shocked responses.

Laxh heard Roxas' voice and instantaneously looked at Axel's face. Those two..... and Xion, as well. They're.... special? No. What's the word somebodies use? Friends. They're friends. Why? Laxh didn't listen to much else that was said and when Xemnas dismissed them, she went to her room. Do I have friends?

Axel stopped Laxh on a flight of stairs. "I need another favor. I swear this is the last time I'll ask you to fill in for me." His weary eyes showed signs of stress. "I need you to retreave dirt, water, and rock samples from Neverland."

Laxh nodded. "Axel," she said softly. "Will Xion be all right?"

Axel stood in silence for a few seconds before turning away to hide his face from her. "I know I can count on you, Squirt." He took one step and then spun around to hug Laxh. "Thank you."

Laxh nearly choked on what could have been a tear. "Axel," she started but couldn't find the words to continue. I hope she's okay, for their sake.
