Laxh stood on the very edge of a cliff, alone, staring out over a isolated cove in Neverland. She picked up a rock and threw it as far as she could. "Maybe it'll find a nice spot to land. Me, I'm stuck in an organization I know next to nothing about with people I wish I knew nothing about." She plopped down on a rock and sighed. "What's so special about Xion anyway? I mean, if anyone likes her it's Roxas. He's the one who was whining about no one being allowed to go look for her, not...." Laxh drew in the dirt with her finger. "I'm being ridiculous." She threw another rock. "I'm not jealous of her. I can't be, I don't have a heart."
A cool breeze blew through Laxh's hair. She tilted her head and looked at the beautiful scenery in Neverland. "Maybe Xion has the right idea." Laxh thought about leaving the Organization. "It's not like they've ever given me anything, but they've taken quite a bit." Axel's face flashed through Laxh's mind. "One last favor..."

Laxh rushed around her room, shoving stuff into a heavy-looking suitcase. She had made up her mind. She was leaving tonight. No one was going to stop her, or even miss her. Laxh nearly jumped when she heard Axel's voice. "You forgot to hand in the samples." He said solemnly.
Laxh grabbed the vials that contained the samples and tossed them to Axel. "There. Get out of my room." She rummaged through her dresser drawers, stopping for a second to put on one of Luxord's earrings.
Axel silently snuck up behind Laxh and took her hands into his. "Please tell me you aren't doing what it looks like you're doing."
She took a deep breath and pulled away from him. "You owe me a few favors. Can I compile them into one big favor?"
"Lash, no. Don't-"
"If you aren't going to help me than just let me leave."
"No. You're not going anywhere. I swear if you even try to-"
Laxh turned her back on him and kept packing. She dumped one of Xigbar's eye-patches into the suitcase. "Don't try to stop me. I don't even belong here, everyone knows that. I'm just a replacement for something that can't be replaced. I won't be missed." She gently fingered the binding of a book she'd taken from Beast's Castle.
Axel slapped the book out of her hands and pulled her to his lips. "You can't leave. I won't let you." He whispered before giving her a passionate kiss. He held her in his arms and continued to whisper softly into her ear. "Of course you don't belong here. None of us are supposed to exist, let alone have a home. I belong here just as little as you do. But this place is as close to a home as any of us will ever get."
Laxh looked into his deep green eyes and he looked into hers. "Please, Axel. I want... I want to be.... human." She backed away from him. "I want to do more than just exist day-in and day-out. You understand, right? I might come back."
Axel held her head in his hands. "Xemnas won't approve of you switching loyalties so freely. It doesn't work like that. You leave, you leave for good." His hands ran down her sides and clasped her wrists. "Don't leave, Lash."
"I'm going, and there's nothing you can say that will make me want to stay." Laxh wrenched free from his grasp, and bent down to pick up the book she'd dropped. "Good-bye, Axel." She threw the book into the suitcase. "Thanks for trying, but we just aren't human enough."
Axel stood there, and watched her pack. He didn't say anything. Without making a sound, he dropped a letter into her suitcase while she wasn't looking. Laxh glanced away from her closet long enough to see him walking out the door. She felt the lump in her throat growing, as she held back a fit of tears. "We aren't human enough.." she whispered.
