Twenty Nine

Naruto POV

Leaving Sakura-chan alone like that took a mental toll on me. I couldn't focus right and I only left the house 2 minutes ago. Looking out in the village right now things seem to have calmed down since I have left.

How the hell can I focus on fighting if the only thing I can think about was Sakura-chan?

It was a lose-lose situation either way it goes. If I were to stay home with Sakura-chan, the village would probably go down. If I didn't stay home there was a possibility that Sakura-chan, Kato, and the baby could survive. The bunker that they're in is very high-tech.

I'm way too in my head

I forced myself to run faster, shaking the thoughts out of my head. I was dodging the corpse left and right, if they wanted me then they would have to catch up to me.

The village had an orange hue cast around it, it was fire from the burning buildings. I could smell it, feel it, and hear it. The village was a ghost town, the only people that were here were either living humans or dead humans.

"Naruto!"

Someone called my name. I turned to see Sasuke running towards me with full force. Before I could realize but he was doing his fist connected with the side of my face. I fell to the ground from the impact of the punch, I was still in a daze but I could see his shadowy figure standing over me.

"What the fuck was that for teme!" I growled out, I kicked him in his stomach forcing him to stumble back.

"Where the hell is Sakura!?" He spat.

"She's at home, she and the baby are fine." I rolled over to the side to spit the blood that was pooling in my mouth, I used my sleeve to wipe the blood that trickled from the side of my mouth.

"She had the baby...Naruto why the fuck are you here!?"

I waved my hands around in the air causing him to grow confused, "Because I have a village to protect."

Sasuke grabbed the collar of my shirt, shaking me violently. I took this opportunity to shove him back into the ground.  We both got up simultaneously, our eyes were staring harshly at each other.

"Naruto what the hell is wrong with you? You have a family now you can't just play the hero now. You have a kid who needs a father in his life."

"Don't you think I know Sasuke? He also needs a fucking village to grow up in too."

Sasuke scoffed, "You idiot, you're worthless. How the hell do you leave Sakura behind like that."

I rolled my eyes at my friend, here we go again. "I don't need this from you right now."

"Whatever, you won't learn until they are stipped away from you."

"That won't happen." I barked back.

"I'm done arguing with you." Sasuke didn't waste any time coming back to my face. He was so close our foreheads were touching."Just don't let history repeat itself." He punched me in the chest but I didn't retaliate.

That bastard, I was beyond pissed off with him. I could feel the anger boiling through my body. Who the fuck was he to tell me what to do. I already felt guilty as it is, I didn't need him pushing it more in my face. I know if something were to happen to my family it'd be my fault. I have already come to terms with it.

I tried my best to shake the thoughts out of my head. Although I couldn't shake this anger that Sasuke triggered. We both stood staring at one another without saying anything. Sasuke nodded his head towards the end of the road we were on. Turning around I saw a zombie person coming towards me. I backed up watching it walk faster towards me, then he began to run.
