Irene left her daughter in bed and just decided to prepare breakfast because honestly... She didn't even sleep at all.
She's too worried about the mission, especially about Lisa. Their friends didn't give any updates which make it even worse.
She's sure that the girls are also worried but they can't do anything about it.
Upon moving around the kitchen, her mind's flying somewhere that she didn't notice she's already done.
She just snapped out of her thoughts when she heard her daughter's cries upstairs. It's one of those days again where Mavis will cry and freak out when she wakes up without her mother.
Rushing towards the bedroom, Irene immediately shush her daughter and pulled her closer while patting her leg to calm her down.
"Mommy's here, don't cry baby, sshh," Irene kiss the top of her head and continue caressing her hair and patting her leg. Mavis scoots closer to her and sucks on her thumb as she continues to sleep.
Irene gave her one last kiss on her temple before carefully standing up and pulling the cover above her daughter before walking towards the bathroom to take a shower.
It has been thirty minutes when she heard her daughter's voice.
"Mommy?"
"I'm here, baby!" Irene shouted as she wraps the towel around her and walks outside the bathroom. She saw Mavis rubbing her eyes while sitting in the middle of the bed. "Hey, good morning princess." She walks over to her and kisses her cheek before walking towards the closet to dress up.
Mavis patiently waits and watches her until Irene finally picks her up and walks downstairs to eat.
Just as she expected, the girls are already at the table, drinking coffee. She's sure that they didn't get enough sleep as well.
"Good morning Aunty Chu! Good morning Aunty Chaeng! Good morning Aunty Nini! Good morning Aunty Suzy!" Mavis cheerfully greeted them which makes them giggle and greeted her too.
Irene smiled as she put Mavis down on the booster seat beside the twins.
"Good morning Gemini twins!"
"Good morning sleeping beauty!" Gem and Mini greeted back while eating.
Irene started serving Mavis' food in front of her and they all eat in silence. The kids are talking about random things which don't even make sense.
They just finished breakfast and Irene was putting the plates away when she heard the doorbell rang. Jisoo was tying her daughter's hair, Chaeyoung and Suzy were cozily watching TV on the couch while Jennie was busy on her cellphone.
Irene sigh as she heard her daughter's laughter. She's sure it's Bogum again. She wipes her hands and walks towards the door and it's indeed the man who's now carrying Mavis while giggling.
"Hey," Irene gets their attention.
"Hey, I just came by and ask if you want to take a walk in the park? It's been a week since we last did it and I'm thinking that it's also good for Mavis since it's still early." He said while smiling.
"Let's go, mommy! Please! Please! Please!" Mavis chants.
It's one of those days that Irene wished for Mavis to be her old quiet and shy self. But she's the only one who knows that, sshh!
Irene smile apologetically. "I'm sorry but I'm busy today,"
"Is that so?"
"Mommy, you told me you're not working anymore, right?"
