They thought it's split personality or something like that, but Solar, their senior on the agency before that is now a psychiatrist, explained what it is...
"She has Posttraumatic stress disorder or PTSD." Solar started then look at Irene intently, "It's a type of anxiety disorder that can happen after a deeply threatening or scary event. Even if you weren't directly involved, the shock of what happened can be so great that you have a hard time living a normal life." She then looks at Lisa who's outside and just staring in space.
The girls also look at her worriedly, she's just fine earlier when Solar is talking to her but when she asked about Krystal, she went berserk so Chaeyoung took her outside to calm down.
"You need A LOT of patience with her, her condition is causing her to experience very strong feelings of anxiety, sadness, anger, guilt, or shame, her mind's a mess and it can be very hard to know what she's feeling at any given moment."
"A-About what happened yesterday," Irene said worriedly, "She was just fine with Mavis and I after almost throwing me out of her life, what does that mean? Is it normal to her condition?"
Solar takes a look at her notepad where she wrote everything that she noticed with Lisa's behavior.
"You know, Irene, people with PTSD are having a hard time concentrating, if there's something that's really messy with them, it's their mind. They might constantly relive the traumatic event or lose their memory of it altogether."
"What does that mean?" Jennie asked.
"She can forget a lot of things even if she just did it a few minutes ago, so maybe she forgot your fight and the truth that Mavis is your daughter with Suho,"
"So she will be fine sometimes and then go berserk after?" Jisoo asked.
"Yes."
"How can we cure it? I'm sure there's a way to cure her, right?" Irene asked panicking.
"Calm down, of course there is, we just need to observe her and do therapy. It'll be a long way but she will be fine, just please be patient with her, okay? She needs a lot of care and support, you should always understand her and don't join her when she's in rage, it'll worsen the situation and her condition."
Irene sigh and nods her head as she looks at Lisa again.
"There's something that's bothering me though," Solar said seriously which makes them look at her. "The kids," she sat up straight and look at them one by one. "I'm sorry to say this but it's not safe or healthy for them to join you in this journey, Lisa might explode and do something to them that we will all regret. It's also not healthy for them to witness her rage and the shoutings and fights if ever her emotions took her in. I know that Lisa's a very calm and collected person but with her condition right now?" Solar shakes her head. "Let's not be careless."
The girls understand it. They'll just talk about this later when Solar's already gone.
"Are you the one who's gonna do the therapy with her?" Irene asked.
"Yes, as per the headquarter's request since Lisa is still the Ace even if she's already retired," Solar said while smiling. "I'll just come back tomorrow to start the session, if anything happens or if you have any questions, don't hesitate to call me, okay?"
They all stand up to send her outside.
"Yes, thank you very much," Irene said and guide her to the door.
She sighs after closing it and faces her friends who are already looking at her.
"I didn't tell you about this but I'm already planning on going back to Korea this week," Jisoo said, sounding a bit guilty for leaving Irene. "There's where my life is, Irene, you know I'm willing to help you but the kids need to go to school already,"
