Midnight Angels

Chapter 1

                                                                  Book 1.

                                                               -Chapter 1. -

          On February 14, 1988, it was two minutes before midnight Twins were born to a mother that was a shape shifter and half witch, her name was Stella Blair Valentino, and the father that was the purest vampire you would meet, his name was EzraValentino. They were both married for six years, until that day when the twins were born. The first-born was named Elle Valentino; she was born like a regular child well like a regular vampire and shape shifter hybrid. She had Brown hair, and her eyes were icy blue, she was just perfect. Then five minutes later, her sister Judith Valentino was born. She did not look like her sister, or even a child. The nurse was in shocked on what she saw. Her eyes resembled cat eyes the color was bright violet, she also has cat ears, a black tail, and her hair was black as well. She did not have fur but her father knew this was a sign that something bad was going to happen later on in life.  After the ordeal was done, when the mother and daughters were safe, Ezra did not want to be apart of this and did not want to ruin his good name. So three days has past and they were back home in their mansion. Once the twins were in their cribs sleeping, Ezra wanted to talk with Stella alone.

          Ezra started to speak gently to not alarm her for what he had to say to her, “I wish I knew how to tell you this but I can no longer be at your side.” Stella was shocked on what she heard, “Why do you say that we are perfect family with our children, no vampire girl could ever give you that.” Ezra did know that part for he had many vampire wives before Stella. “Yes I know that part very well, but you see how Judith is stuck in? Don’t you think it’s going to be hard for us to go to our friends who happen to be all vampires, to show how hideous she looks?” Stella was heartbroken with those words. “She is not hideous, it shows she is more shape shifter than vampire, and most shape shifters that turn into cats are born that way. And live that way until the age of 14. She is beautiful!” Now Ezra knew he had to leave, she wasn’t going to be reasonable. “Then I will take Elle with me since she is more vampire than her sister.” Ezra said. Stella was furious at the thought of them separating the twins, “NO YOU WONT! That is not good to separate twins like that. They wont be complete and they will feel like something is missing from them. I wont allow it. You have to get through me to get them, and you know I am stronger than you!”  Stating the fact that she could change into a wolf very quickly and knew a lot of spells that can keep him away from the twins.

         “I do not wish to fight you, because I know what will happen if I do fight you, but do you think its fair to Elle to grow up with her sister stuck in her half form and can not go out and play with the other kids in the neighborhood?” That question in his mind was brilliant to make her give Elle up but he was wrong. “Who said we were staying here? I am taking the twins back to my hometown which is the perfect place and its all shape shifters so Elle and Judith can play with the neighbor kids!” Shot Stella back, with a smile that showed she won that argument. Ezra was furious for one he did not know how to win this argument, and two looks like he won’t get Elle. “If you wont let me take Elle, you know I can make it difficult to trust it vampires ever again, since I am the most respected and basically their leader! I can turn them against you and the twins!” He said. “Don’t worry, I no longer trust vampires and do not want them around. You should know my hometown has no vampires so it wont be that hard to stay away!” She rebelled.  Ezra decided to leave, and make sure he starts a new law for vampires who fall in love with shape shifters that it will be punishable by death, if caught. Since he had influences with the higher vampire committee that sets the laws.

          Stella went straight to her daughter’s room to make sure he didn’t sneak in the window to take Elle. They were both still there sound asleep, with the lullaby music she put on for them. She went to the rocker and sat down, she wanted to protect them until she can move to her hometown. Luckily she had a friend who was selling their home, she gave them a call and told them she will buy the house from them. She thought about what Ezra said, she had to make sure the twins were not to fall in love with a vampire no matter what. She did not want to think of losing anyone of her girls, or worse lose them both. The next morning came and she packed up the twin’s cloths and toys, then put them all into her mini van that her friend let her borrow. She put the twins into their car seats and they started off on their new lives. Stella was glad that she didn’t legally take on Ezra’s last name, so she can go back to her pack she had left behind. She hoped they took her back after all these years; she was still the same Stella Blair they knew, just a bit older and wiser.

          Now it has been 22 years since Stella went back to her hometown near Sacramento leaving behind her mansion that she did love. They still lived in the house she brought from her friend it was cozy farmhouse. It had a big dinning room and living room. Good size kitchen for three, and there was three rooms which one room for each. Judith is no longer stuck in her in-between form for 8 years now even though she prefers to be in her in-between form at home. When she goes out to the public she turns to her human form instead even though she isn’t that comfortable in this form. “Judith change already so we can go to the movies before the show ends.” Elle said trying to be patient knowing it takes Judith a while to change from her in-between form. “Alright I changed, do you think this outfit is good? Or should I pick something else?” “That is perfect, we are just going to the movie you know.” Elle was already at the door she could walk very fast, even faster when she runs. “Well you never know if we meet someone or some guy” Judith remarked. Stella called to them, “Make sure you don’t start flirting with complete strangers! Just stick with the ones that live in this area okay.” Both replied at the same time, “Fine mother.”

          Elle was driving since she got her car before Judith, which was her dream car an Audi R8 which was her 18th birthday present from their mother, Judith would have gotten her dream car a mustang GT but she got her license late so now she had to save up her own money to get it. “So what movie we watching Elle?” “We are going to see My Soul To Take, it’s going to be great! Yes we found a great parking space. Lets go!” They walked to the booth were you buy the tickets and Judith noticed two guys that were staring at them. She never seen them, she poked Elle “do you know those guys over there that are looking at us?” Elle looked over casually and wondered the same thing “No, and you know what mother always say. Lets keep to ourselves since we can’t identify vampires yet.” They were whispering so no one would hear them even though they could of used their telepathic way like always but they felt like talking.  It was strange for them to see anyone new and then they noticed one girl has been following them since the booth, Elle and Judith did not like to be followed by anyone.

          They went into the nearest restroom and sure enough she followed, they cornered this new person, Elle was the first to talk, “So why are you following us?”  “Well first are you two, Elle and Judith?” They both looked at each other and thought how this person knew their names. Judith responded, “How do you know our names and who sent you?” “Hi I am Leona! And I am your half sister!!” “WHAT! How could you be our half sister?” Elle said in a shocking tone.  “We all have the same father, Ezra Valentino, but my mother is a witch.” Leona kept calm knowing she surprised them both. “We never want to hear that name or even know about him ever again, so you just came here for nothing! Come on Judith lets go see the movie.” Elle got to the door right when Leona said, “You may then want to watch your back, if you don’t want my help. I only can to warn and to be on your side.” Elle and Judith left her there and got into their seats, but both were wondering to warn us about what, and to be on our side? What did that mean? Was someone or something after us?? And are those two beautiful perfect boys that we spotted involved??
