Chapter 7

IRENE

I had woken up early and immediately I checked my phone. Still, no reply. That's what I notice from Lisa. Whenever it is sunday or she can't make it on Friday's or Saturday's, you won't expect a text or chat from her.

You'll be lucky if you received one yet those replies took hours though. I could never complain too.

I sighed, this is my first time craving for someone's time and I can't even do anything about it. So, to cool everything off I decided to just take a long bath begore I'll run out of time again.

To : Lalisa :  Good morning. Today's the last day of the training. Don't tell me you're too busy again?

I sent one after taking a bath since it seems like a rule to greet every now and then. A rule that we haven't talk about yet we unconsciously doing too after the phone call last week.

We kept tabs on each other, and whenever one is busy, one should at least infrom the other. And I kept thinking, my friends and I doesn't really do that. Or maybe because we were friends so long and still we were working at the dame place too.

From : Lalisa : Good morning too Rene. Drive safe okay?

That's what she calls me now. And Nobody ever calls me that not even my friends dared to.

To : Lalisa : I'll pick you up at your usual bus stop?

I waited a reply but I got nothing. So, I decided to just drive straight to the school and meet her there.

To : Lalisa : Lalisa I'm hungry. Where are you?

Again for the third time, no reply. I walked towards the hall, but she's not around. The program started until the closing, she is nowhere to be found not until it was already time to taking commemorative photo.

"You're late or just busy?" I can't help but asked since its not my intention to look for her yet I saw her came in with Jisoo and with a pretty little girl.

"Just had an important meeting." I can't help but scoffed and shot my brows high. There's this habit of hers that when she lies or tried to, her eyes will automatically look down at her feet then smile at you after. She may fool everyone here on the room, but not me who always watches every single reaction that she do whenever we are hanging out.

"Now that the lecture training is done, are we both, I mean, you and I are not ending this too, right?" I whispered as soon as the flashed almost blinded us. I can feel her stunned since our body almost touched as we compressed to take a better shot. "I want to keep seeing you."

"Let's do that." I nodded and walk towards Seulgi and Wendy as I know they're listening earlier. And I am not wrong when Wendy held my forearm and dragged me outside the hall along with Seulgi.

"How long have you been keeping us from your lovelife?" I sighed, while this two brats are smiling wide.

"She's a friend." The two look at me like I am sort of joking but that's what all I can say. We were just hanging out for a month, and that's pretty short actually considering that we only meet for 2 days aside from texting every now and then.

"You are pretty aware about the rumors around us, right?" Seulgi chuckled but stop when we saw Jisoo is coming on our way.

"Rumors are just rumors without proper evidence." I mumbled but that smirk on their faces, I know there will be more later on. There are rumors about me having  a barbie chic but no one really asked me directly not until this day. Not even the Chief who I know she's well aware of it.
