Looks is quite powerful for us to be easily noticed and be validated in our society. A place that requires standard which people wanted to surpass.

For what? To be appreciated, to be valued.

The world is unfair for those who seeks appreciation and belongingness because of lacking from eye-catching looks.

Sometimes, the looks of a person can measure our assumptions or impression towards him.
And according to studies, people's character were mistaken because of their physical appearance. Looks can be deceiving.

I silently watched ate Selene who was asked by one of those guys that Kai knows. Magpapapicture. Kiah was also asked earlier but she told directly that she has a boyfriend. Which we know ka m.u nya pa lang.

"Hard pass 'yan tol. She's taken." Kai teased the guy and it was followed by laughter coming from the other group.

Gerard told us na nakasama nila yung ilan sa grupo ng mga lalaki sa pagba-bike. I'm not familiar with some of them, but the one who smiled at me earlier was my schoolmate from highschool. Dito sa municipality namin.

"Kung hindi pwedi sa ate, sa kapatid ka na lang."

Tinapik ni Gerard ang balikat ko pagkatapos isigaw 'yon, dahilan para muntik ko ng mabitawan ang plastic cup na may kropeck. I elbowed him and ignored the teasing around.

I didn't even tried to look at Kai na ngayon ay lumipat malapit sa pwesto ko. Some of those guys are grilling something delicious na kanina ko pa naamoy. I look at where it was and there I saw three guys doing the work.

Kasama 'yung lalaki kanina.

I averted my gaze quickly when he slightly move.

"Graduate na 'yan sa college. Captain namin dati sa varsity." Kai's voice while looking at me with a grin.

"Crush mo?"

"Pass."

"Sino? Sino 'yun?" Brielle asked.

"Si Dale Gabriel." Kai said again then snatched the plastic cup of Kiah.

"Sino sa kanila?" Brielle asked again.

I looked at his side profile. Ang tangos ng ilong. Some strands of his hair falls on his forehead. He looks serious that I suddenly think he's the quite type in a---shit!

"Dale, papi!" Kai shouted.

Lumingon ito which made me look liked shit, he averted his eyes to Kai after meeting mine. 

"Ano. Tinatanong lang ng pinsan ko kung anong ini-ihaw nyo."

"Ah pork barbecue, gusto nyo?"

I stared at the remaining food that we had para mabalewala ang kung ano mang nararamdaman, when suddenly Kai tap my shoulder.

"Gusto mo daw?" Napakurap ako ng mga mata.

"You're shitting me, bakit akong tinatanong mo"?

"Sabi mo kanina sana may barbecue, oh bibigyan ka--"

"Epal. Busog ako". I interrupted him.

"Serene tabi, ako na". Si Brielle sabay halakhak.

It's already 1:22 in the afternoon. I was scrolling our group pics in my phone until it was on my solo pic. I zoomed in my pictures. I suddenly felt  the need to wear my shirt. I looked at Kiah who's now eating a barbecue. Binigyan talaga kami n'ung Dale na 'yon. I felt uneasy when Sir Vic playfully handed me the paper plate after getting it from that guy. Until now nahihiya ako dahil sa kalokohan nila ni Kai.
