I really hate moment like this.

Malamig. Mahangin. Maulan.

It would be perfect if only I was inside my room and getting the comfort from my bed. But no.

Bigla akong nanginig sa pagdampi ng patak ng ulan sa kaliwang balikat ko. Tatlo kaming nagsisiksikan sa iisang payong. Mabuti sana kung si Brielle at Kiah ang kasukob ko pero hindi.

Lakad-takbo na ang ginagawa ni Kiah at ate Selene samantalang si Gerard ay hindi na nakipagsiksikan pa sa payong.

"Kai, wag mo namang hilahin!"

Si Brielle na pinagigitnaan namin ni Kai. Ako ang may-ari ng payong pero tinatamad akong magsalita. Kung bakit kasi nakikipayong pa sa sobrang tangkad niya. Hindi na lang nakipagsabayan kay sir Vic at sa mga kaibigan nitong magpa-ulan.

Bagong bihis ang mga suot naming damit kaya ganito kami kadesperadong hindi tuluyang mabasa. Hindi naman kasi namin inasahan na uulan pala sa hapon edi sana hindi na kami nagtagal at umuwi na agad.

Sir Vic's circle wants to experience Manumpungan falls and they invited us to join which made my cousins willingly approved.

Kung hindi ako sigurado kanina, ngayon siguradong-sigurado na. Napilitan lang akong sumama. I actually wanted to stay at sir Vic's house but they never let me. Kesyo wala akong gagawin. Ang boring mag-isa. Mas marami, mas masaya.

Great! Kaya nagsisiksikan ulit kami dito sa backseat ng sasakyan ni sir Vic. Lahat kami dito nagsipasok matapos marating ang pinagparkingan, maliban kay ate Selene na sa harap nakaupo. The other car where friends of sir Vic settled, were already in our front. Lima sila sa loob. Ang ilang kasama namin sa table kagabi ay umuwi na kaninang umaga because of some important matters.

Hindi na ako nag-inarte pa at nakisabay na kay ate Selene sa banyo para magbanlaw. I'm already hungry, natunaw ang kinain ko sa pagmamadaling makauwi kanina.

That is why I decided to look for food in their dining table matapos mag-bihis at mag-ayos. I was now eating when Kai suddenly nudge me with his shoulder. I didn't gave him even a single glance.

"Dapat kasi pinigilan mo, lungkot mo tuloy kanina."

Kai continued shitting me even after some of sir Vic friends joined us in the dining area. I massaged the bridge of my nose. I mentally rebuke any signs of colds. I looked at Kai, sinama ko na rin!

"Bakit hindi nagpapigil si Dale, Rich?"

Sir Vic, who came out from the kitchen suddenly asked Ma'am Rich, pinsan ni Adriano.

"Ang sabi may mga requirements siyang aayusin eh."

I got up from seat and slightly pushed Kai with my shoulder so I can occupy the space. I reached for another batch of shanghai.

"Kahapon good mood 'yun habang papunta dito tapos kanina--"

I was about to reach for another menu when I notice Ma'am Rich stop putting embutido on her plate. I adjusted my eyes toward her face and she's looking at me with a--uh? playful smile?

"Parang ayaw pang umalis ni Dale kanina kasi hindi pa daw gising ang mga pinsan mo Vic." He then turned her gaze away from me.

I blinked twice. I don't know if she's teasing me but I rather not to react. Last night, they caught us in the kitchen while doing the dishes. Yeah, in my hopes to ignore Adriano, naghugas na lang ako ng plato. I have three reasons why I did that.

First, to made him go back to the living room or somewhere else. Second, so I can sober up, sounds weird but I still don't want to go to bed and if ever I went back to my cousins I think I won't be able to get out from the bed when morning comes. Third, wala akong maisip pero kalaunan I think I became a good citizen after doing the chores.
