"So I scream mayday,

I'm in trouble send somebody on the double

Scratching at the floor inside my mind.

They all accept the lie."

-Tangled In The Great Escape by Pierce The Veil ft. Jason Butler

The exhausted girl's eyes fluttered open, she was there, laying naked in the middle of nowhere. Leaves and dirt scattered around an on her.

Her clothes had been torn to shreds when she shifted. It was already morning again, the sun up and shining brightly. She hadn't noticed she'd been gone for a long time.

She looked around her and quickly morphed into a wolf. Images of the previous day replayed in her mind. She sighed and shook off her fur, dirt flying everywhere.

She took a big sniff of the air and instantly picked up the directions to home. She started trotting off but increased in speed as she neared closer to her house. She honestly just wanted a hug from mom and dad and some sleep. Nothing more.

Soon she was in her backyard. She morphed back to her human form and looked up to her bedroom window, jumping up the side of the building and sat on the window ledge. She opened the window and made her way to the bathroom.

She turned on the water and stepped under the steaming hot water, dirt and blood washed away down to the draining pipe but no matter how had she tried, she could not get rid of the memories.

A sob left her lips at the pain in her heart. Kira had been feeling the hole in her chest ever since she woke up. The pain of losing a mate. The pain of being rejected.

She had only been told stories of it. The excruciating pain that one goes trough. Some had been driven mad, to the point of suicide over the rejection of a mate. She never really though something could hurt this much. She could've broken all the bones in her body continuously for a whole three days and it wouldn't compare even a little to the pain she felt.

Her ears pricked up as she head voices downstairs.
She turned off the water and wrapped a white fluffy towel around her body.

Quickly changing and exited her room to investigate the unfamiliar voices.

"Where is she?!" Snapped a mans voice. She had notice that he and some other pack members were at the front proch... Waiting.

"I don't know." Her parents lied, they know quiet well that she was there, they had heard and smelt her but wanted to leave the heartbroken girl alone.

"I can smell her from here. I can also smell your bullshit." The other snapped.

She recognized him as Alan Tuner, one of the pack elders. You see, if there was a problem in a pack that the alpha couldn't solve, they'd go to the elders for guidance and instruction.

"I don't know what your talking about." Mother spoke. Her voice devoid of emotion. She could almost imagine the bored look on her mothers face as she spoke.

She watched from the stair case as they pushed pass her parents and came into their home.
"What do you want with me?" Lamely spoke Kira. She stood with her head held high and voice strong.

"Come down from there child, come say hi to your uncle Turner." Uncle Turner. The words felt almost bitter in her mouth as she thought about it. The same uncle Turner that wanted her best friend dead. The same uncle Turner that killed his own niece. That uncle Turner.

"You are not my uncle. Not when you killed, Lisa." She spat, glaring at the older man.

"Analisa was looking for what she got. She got exactly what she needed." He bitterly replied.

"Why are you here?" She asked annoyed by the man in her house. She was now at the bottom of the staircase and she can see them all. The entire pack, watching them.

"Because, tell me dear, what happened yesterday? For you to howl in such a... Painfully loud manner?" He asked as if he didn't already know.

They all did actually. They all knew that she was rejected. But they wanted her to admit it. They wanted her to tell them about what happened. How she was unwanted by her mate.

"My mate had rejected me." Her voice nearly cracked as the words flowed out of her mouth.

"Why was that?" He countered again. His brown eyes held false curiousity, his thick eyebrows furrowed together in a questioning way.

"He didn't want me. He didn't want a sick 'beta' like me." She snapped angrily, saying the exact words the blonde girl had said to her.

"I'm guessing you didn't tell him your an alpha. Or so to be." He questioned, when she shook her head he mumbled under his breath, "pathetic little girl."

"Ah yes, a little girl, not a woman." Another person snapped. Another elder. He was one that hated the thought of a girl as alpha.

"Actions of a girl. A girl not fit for alpha." Alan spoke, his eyes now holding contentment and mischief.

"She is well fit for alpha, you just don't want to appoint her as one." Growled 16-year-old Luca. He was being held back by father, because he would be one to do something stupid.

"I am fit for alpha." She growled to herself. Her hands clenched at her sides.

"An alpha would be able to get her mate." He spat. She gasped at his harsh words before seething, seeing all just white hot anger.

"That's it!" She growled lurching forward, ready to claw out his eyes. But she felt her mother yank her back. She fell agains her mothers chest in a tight embrace.

"No let me go!" She growled thrashing around.

"I, Alan Turner, hereby remove you, Kira Harris, as alpha of the Blood Moon Pack. Also you are to be out by morning, you are no longer apart of the Blood Moon Pack." He spoke. She was officially off the pack. She felt her mothers arms loosen around her as she and her world came crashing to the floor. And so did she.

I choked sob left her mouth as she watched them all storm out the room. Stripped of her tittle as alpha. Kicked out of the pack. And thrown out of her own home.

This was not the week she wanted.

"Ki-" before her father could speak she was up and at her room. She grabbed a duffel bag and stuffed a weeks worth of clothes in there. Some things that she could use and her necklace. The necklace that Lisa had given to her before as was brutally killed.

She grabbed shoes and jumped out the window. Not even caring to say goodbye to her family, she just ran and ran and ran, ignoring the hurt in her chest.

Soon she was about 40 miles away from home an she found a extremely high tree. She sat up at the highest branch. She sighed as she laid back and began to sob.

She was far away but she could still hear her mothers heartbreaking cries for her to return.

She could feel the pain of Luca breaking his fingers, punching at trees in anger, over and over after they healed again.

She could hear Williams little feet padding around the house, asking everyone if they've seen Kitty. He was confused and kind of frustrated that no one would pay attention to him.

She could also hear the little sobs that left her fathers mouth, he must be in lots of pain, she was always closer to him. He sat at her bed with his head in his hands, asking the gods to bring back his little princess.

"My life is officially a wreck."

Kira gripped at her hair and let out a frustrate cry. She wanted so badly to go home. But she can't. She wanted her mate to comfort her. But she can't. She wanted to be the alpha and prove everyone wrong. But she can't.

At least not yet.
