Kira has endured the most excruciating pain.

The pain of being rejected by your soul mate. Her wolf still howls at night. Crying in pain for her mate. Her body craving the touch of her mate. She held her fingers up to her cheek, the last time her mate touched her. It wasn't a loving caress that her mother usually receives from her father. Instead he had smacked her across the cheek, right before uttering the words. The sick, bitter words that stuck to her memory.

The way his bitter words were spat at her made her heart break. Her wolf immediately howled in pain, crying for him to come back. But he didn't. He left her there, broken, alone, lost, and hopeless.

After that terrible incident she had gone home, hoping for some comfort from her pack. Sadly all that she received were cold hard stared and glares that haunted her dreams and mind.

They all agreed together to kick her out, even if she was to be the future alpha. They would just give the authority to someone else, someone with a mate. Everyone knows that no alpha is strong without a mate. Knowing that hers rejected her made them uneasy about having a weak leader, let alone a female leader.

The words carved into her mind, remaining there for as long as she may live.

She still remember the sorrowful pleads from her family. Luca was beyond angry at the people who had agreed with kicking his sister out. Little William still didn't understand what was going on, being only 5. Her mother was weeping. She still feels her weeping every night, the bond with her family was strong, she could feel their every emotion.

Her father was sad yet angry. But they could do nothing. Unless they wanted to be removed too. And they couldn't let that happen, Luca is next in line for alpha, but they all would rather have Kira.

"How did my life become living hell?" She questioned aloud, she sat perched up on a tree about 12 miles south from the pack house. She was just running, having no intentions in going back, not that she could.
