y/n potter and regulus black have a very strong connection. they've been best friends for as long as they can remeber. one day regulus had caught feelings for the girl. maybe it was the way that she smiled, or the way her nose crinkled evertime she laughed, or the way her voice would sound when she sang him lullabies when he had nightmares ( a/n: don't tell me mans didnt do this! )
he had to tell her and tonight was going to be the night...

someone had asked you to go on a date with them. they had asked you in class, in a note that went something like this:

you had shown your friends and they were just as excited as you. yes you were scared but mostly excited
"what are you going to wear?" james asked, going through your cupboard
"clothes," you said smiling
"oh ha ha,"
you and the rest of the marauders laughed. you ended up wearing some brown pants with a white shirt and a green sleevless jersey over it with shoes. comfortable and practical. you added a little jewellery, a bracelet, a small emerald choker that matched your green jumper. sirius wanted to do your make up but you didnt want any, eventually you gave up trying to fight the boys and gave in. they added lipgloss, eyeliner, waxed your eyebrows and a little blush.
"you look like someone i know..." james said
"who?" you asked
"ahhh! shaggy from scooby doo!"
"who the fuck is that??
"don't worry about it, you're just dressed up like him..."
you rolled your eyes at your step brothers tomfoolery and made your way to the lake. when you had gotten there you were about five minutes late. you saw your admirer skipping rocks on the lake

"well, well if it isnt regulus black himself..."
"y/n!" he exclaimed, "you got my note..."
"clearly... so youre my secret admirer?"
"what can i say, you caught my eye..."
he came up closer to you and took your hand. yours fit perfectly into his as he guided you to the water.
you picked up a stone and threw it at the water.

it didnt skip.

"no, no, like this," he said coming up behind you, he placed his left hand on your waist, the other holding your hand, showing you how to throw the rock, as your body moved with his you could feel something poking your ass...oh shit...

he immediately moved from you, he didn't think you noticed and you pretended that you didn't, after a few more tries with the stone you had gotten the hang of it.

"there you go!" he says, putting his arm around your shoulder, "come on,"
"where to?" you asked
"right.....here," he guided you to the tree, he took his wand out and music started playing

"care to dance m'lady?" he said in a deep posh extra british tone, bowing and extending his hand
"why of course kind sir..." you mocked and bowed, taking his hand, he had a bright smile on his face and pulled you in, his arms around your waist, yours around his neck, playing with his curly hair.

the height difference was not all that bad, although you still had to go on your tip toes to reach his lips. which you were not thinking about of course.
