sixth year:
25th april 1996:

"thank you everyone!" flitwick said, "no homework this week and enjoy the up coming baltane ball!" the school had extended the work days until the twentieth, although some of the teachers had given homework so they had to hand it in. at least this was their last day.

"god im so excited!" mary said, "who do you wanna go with?"

"dorcas and i are going," marlene said with a small smile on her face.

"aww," mary cooed, she has always loved the idea of love

"who are you going with mary?" y/n asked, packing her books in her bag

"im planning to ask lily," she said smiling

"oh?" marlene smiled, "and how are you going to do that?"

"i have an idea," she winked at the girls and left

y/n smiled and the skipping mary, she was excited yes, but sirius hadnt asked her. she was getting worried

"alright there y/n?" marlene asked as they walked to the common room

"yeah, just," she sighed, "sirius hasnt asked me to the ball yet,"

"dont be upset, im sure hes gonna ask you soon," she smiled encouragingly but y/n still left queasy

"dont you have to go to potions?" y/n asked marlene

"yeah," she replied, she looked like she was trying to hide a smile, "just wanted to walk you to the common room,"

"you never do that," y/n admitted, "what the fuck are you on abo- oh. my. god."

she opened the portrait to see the common room was turned into a garden of some sort, there were trees and shrubs everywhere, with little ponds, swings and hammocks and in every shrub and tree there were her ( favourite flowers ) . she walked through the trees and small waterfalls with a smile on her face, she knew exactly who was doing this. her smile grew wider as she saw sirius sitting on one of the benches with a bunch of her ( favourite flowers ).

"sirius," she smiled and ran over to hug him, he got up and hugged her tight

"hello darling," he whispers in her ear

"whats all this?" her brows furrowing slightly as she takes the flowers from him and looks around in awe

"just...umm..." he started, he looked nervous - oh god

"yeah?"

"umm, would you, y/n," he couldnt meet her eyes and he was scratching the back of his neck, "uhh, would you like to go to the yule ball with me?"

her face lit up immediately and she nodded vigorously, repeating the word "yes" as she kissed his lips. they pulled back when the scenery around them dissappeared and the people around them started cheering
