Driving through the Palms Springs scenic route as London was so hungover she was nearly still passed out in the passenger seat, I was feeling surprisingly good about this actually.

Yes I single-handedly did get all of my stuff and hers ready for the whole weekend we would be up here, while she was chugging down water and painkiller meds for her massive headache ordering me on what exactly to bring, but overall I didn't mind.

I could relax. I could hang by the pool we were told was privately inside the villa we were suppose to be staying at, and for one day with her and this hangover I didn't have to hear any commands or requests.

Most importantly, I could get through a few days without my mind being mixed up over one man that no matter what he did managed to find his way into my heart.

As I was almost arriving at our destination according to the GPS, I did a quick view around he neighborhood we would be in and I just had to say...it was breathtaking. Absolutely gorgeous.

The mountains, the palm trees at every corner, the grass was even greener than ours, and the villas looked like they were made for movie stars and other celebrities.

It was for sure living the California dream life.

Once we arrived to the driveway to the light blue painted shuttered and finishes, I parked and quickly turned to London who kept groaning and grunting tiredly.

"London, we're here." I told her softly not to make any loud nosies.

She pushed her sunglasses that she on her eyes and shook her head.

"Can you carry me to the front door?" She asked me. I smirked and shook my head.

"You know I was thinking about it, but I'm sure you don't know if I have a back injury or not." I firmly said. She then looked to me shocked and her jaw dropped.

Who did she think she was? The Queen of Sheba.

I was still pissed off at her foolery from yesterday. Nothing but hurt and anger took over my emotions because she knew nothing about me when I knew literally everything about her, even things she didn't even know about herself.

It made me think I really didn't matter to her world as much as I thought.

She better be happy too I didn't make her pack any bags or supplies for this. I sighed and opened the car door getting out as she did the same but more exhausted and sloppily.

I then grabbed some bags and carried them to the front door, grabbing the keys where the brand told me they would be located at and opened it up.

Entering inside, it was absolutely and simply just...amazing.

Maple wood floors all over, a completely open concept that I could see the entire villa from the front door to the beachfront incredible view overlooking our balcony, colorful textures and paintings that tied the whole place together, and all the finishes and appliances were the most high quality designs I'd ever seen. Even being in this business for years, it still surprised me with every little twist influencers actually got as gifts.

Putting the luggage on the floor by the staircase leading up to the second floor, London without even acknowledging the beauty of the atmosphere she was even in had just plopped her whole body onto the living room couch with her sunglasses still on.

I rolled my eyes not unexpected she wasn't paying any attention to anything but her problems right now as I suddenly then heard a knock on the door. Turning around, I instantly saw Luke with his sunglasses on too holding his phone in his hand yet again like always and smiling at us.
