Finally making it to on top of the roof, the cool LA night breeze instantly hit my face as I stood there and reflected on everything that had just happened.
I felt humiliated. More than I'd ever did before. How could I be so desperate to make it work with a dirtbag like that?! My heart wasn't entirely broken, but it was definitely a close second.
I knew exactly why I did though. The facts were there, they were always there.
I only had feelings for Sebastian and I couldn't shake them away even if I tried so hard.
As the tears continued to escape my eyes, I suddenly heard the door open again.
"Lexi?!" Sebastian shouted out worriedly.
I quickly felt my limbs become like a statue as I tried to wipes my eyes. He couldn't see I was hurting like this. I didn't him want to. He was right about Jason and I criticized him for it too like a horrible best friend.
"I'm fine! I don't need you to tell me you told me so Sebastian!" I let out weakly, turning around to face him.
He instantly shook his head and rushed to me grabbing my arms gently. "Oh god no Lexi, that's not why I'm up here. I wanted to see if you were okay. Please just talk to me! I'm right here for you!" He pleaded.
"And to tell you what?! That London is always going to be more important to everyone in their life and I'm just nothing to no one!" I yelled feeling defeated.
"Don't you ever think that! Of course not! You...are the most important person to me. Lexi, you're everything. Tell me what happened." he told me softly, as we gazed to each other closely.
"He didn't want me...okay?" I shrugged, feeling the tears fall down my face again.
He stared at me sadly before shaking his head and grabbed my entire body now holding onto me tightly as I instantly gave him, grabbing his torso with a firm grip and continued to cry into his chest. "It's okay. Let it all out. It's fine."
I could feel how warm and soft his body was becoming. I loved how well I had fit into him so comfortably like I'd known him for all my life. He was being kind, patient, and caring.
All the more reasons why my heart was aching for his touch more.
He then leaned his head down onto mine and slowly brought his lips to my cheeks before planting a sweet kiss on them, while his other hand raised up to wipe the tears away from my face as I bit my lips toward his.
God...this was way more better than any position we had ever been in so far.
"You know, some guys out there don't know when they have a good opportunity in front of them before they let it slip away. If that jerk can't see what an extremely gorgeous, loving, honest, and genuinely incredible person you are...someone will be more than freakin' lucky to take his place." He firmly told me, caressing my back in a swift and calming motion as my head continued to rest on his heart.
Hearing them say those words, almost made me feel like that person might be closer than I thought. I then slowly looked up to him and bit my lip.
"Sebastian..." I tried to utter out, before he put his finger on my lip and smiled warmly.
"Shh, no one wants to hear you speak." He mockingly replied.
I giggled as did the same before he began eying my lips and leaning into it more. Friends definitely didn't do this but I wasn't in no position to stop him right now.
Well...until the door swung open once again with London and Jeremy.
"Lexi!" London shouted.
Immediately, me and Sebastian both pulled away again looking more flushed and blushing like crazy. Jeremy shyly smiled to us.
"I-I tried to stop her but girl knows how to budge through boulders, I'll give her that!" He said.
London smirked and rolled her eyes.
"Why does it matter anyway?! This is my sister! If anyone's going to cheer her up, it's me!" She yelled to him, rushing up and pulling me away from him. Sebastian sighed and shook his head to himself. "You will not believe what Jason just told me!"
"London it's fine." I curtly replied. She shook her head next.
"No it's not fine! Lexi, that guy is the worst! He just asked me out! I'm so pissed! I stuck out my neck out and paid attention to someone other than me for once, for you two and then he becomes the biggest prick in the world! If I ever see him again he's gonna be in a body cast!" She ranted.
To think, I should've been more pissed than her. "London-" I tried to say again.
"I'm not finished! You just know you are a great girl and he doesn't deserve you!" She then snapped as she then turned to Sebastian and smirked. "You know this is all your fault!" She told him.
Sebastian looked to her and rolled his eyes giving her a mystified expression. "Yeah Caption not obvious, how you figure?"
"What part of staying away from her tonight don't you understand?! The stay away part or you're just dumb part?!" London screamed to him annoyed. "He probably thought you were together or something!" She finished casually. My eyes slightly bulged out.
"Me?! You're the one that's been leading him on this entire night!" Sebastian fired back.
"Excuse me?! You are not blaming me for this! Clearly he was threatened by you, though I can't even picture why! You've been under Lexi practically the whole night Martinez! If you would just stop being a-" she tried to argue back.
I wasn't going sit here and listen to this bickering right now. Not tonight.
"Enough!" I shouted as they all stopped and looked over to me. "I-I-I just want to go home."
London sighed and nodded apologetically. "Yes! Let's go and-" she tried to say.
I shook my head snickering. I didn't want to be bothered with her antics tonight either.
"No London. Alone." I said sternly. She looked to me a bit surprised before nodding slowly.
I turned to Sebastian who kept eyeing me carefully as I sighed to himself and walked out passing all three of them and back into the building to call for a ride after this whole train wreck.
Looks like parties weren't for me.
