By the time we reach the Hospital everyone rushing everywhere. Trying there best to deal with the constant flood of patients. Anything from minor to major injuries. I followed close behind Recovery girl. "Stay with Recovery Girl and do what you can to help. " Mr. Aizawa quickly said before disappeared down a different hall. Taking several steadying breaths as she made a beeline for a tall bulky man in a white coat, who was barking orders to everyone. "Ah, Colson. I see your still have a knack for this life." The man stopped and turned toward Recovery Girl with a smile. He stepped closer to her, pushing past a few staff.
"It's been awhile Recovery Girl. It's good to see you, however I wish it were under different circumstances." She nodded and then motioned me forward. I stepped forward and is dark eyes landed on mine. I straightened my shoulders and lifted my chin a little. "This is my student. She is an exceptional healer and is also doing her work study with me this week. Just point her in the right direction." His eyes darted to Revovery girl and then back to mine before scruching up as he assessed me. After a moment, he nodded and reached out his hand. "Alright then. If Recovery Girl recommends you then I'll trust you. I'm the ER Director here. The names Greg Colson." I took his hand. "Y/N Midoriya. Nice to meet you."
He let my hand go and turned to a blonde nurse with powder blue skin. "Cora, come here please." The woman rounded the counter and joined us. "Cora, this is Y/n Midoriya. She is interning with Recovery Girl. Show her to patients that need care and give her what ever support she will need. Miss Midoriya this is Cora. She is one of the best ER nurses we have here." I look over to the woman and we smile at eachother. "I'm glad I'm in good hands." We all chuckled. "Alright we better get to work." Dr. Colson said before shifting away. "Um, Recovery Girl, what about my brother and classmates?" I called out to her. She turn and waved me off. "It's alright dear. I'm headed their way now. I'll take care of them and you help where you can." I nodded solemnly but turned away to follow Cora.
For the next several hours, I saw patients. Most had minor injuries, but I did get a pretty gruesome ankle were the bone was literally sticking out. Even though the strain of using my quirk was quickly taking it toll, I pressed on till me and Cora had finished with the last patient. She handed me a sports drink before guiding me to the room where my brother and classmates where being held. As we approached the room I notice two police officers standing just outside. They looked to us as we approached, then one threw a hand up. "Are you coming to visit these boys miss?" He asked. I nodded. "Yes, one is my brother and the other two are my classmates." He glanced at the other officer before slowly dropping his hand. "You'll have to wait here for a moment. The chef is in there with them along with your teacher. It shouldn't be too much longer." I huffed in frustration and a wave of dizziness came over me. I swayed on my feet and the police officer and Cora grabbed my arm. " Miss are you alright? Maybe you should sit down." They lead me over to a chair as Cora explained to the officer. I sat quietly and rested. Waiting for the opportunity to make sure the boys were OK.
After several minutes, the door opened and a large man with the face of a dog in a black suit walked out. He looked down at me and then gave me a curt nod before continuing on his way. I watched as he left before I felt a hand on my shoulder. I look over to it and for Mr. Aizawa. "Hey kid, you alright? You look exhausted." I couldn't help but chuckle. "Says the man that is always sleeping yet always looks tired. He smirked before taking his hand away. "Come on, I'm sure your dying to see the boys." He sauntered back into the room and I followed after him.
The first person I saw in the room was Shoto. I quickly surveyed of what I could see of his body. Looked like he wasn't too bad. The only injuries I could see was his forearm had been bandaged and a small cut on his cheek.
I looked over to the next bed to see Izuku. I walked past Aizawa to his side. His head was down and he didn't notice it was me until I reached for his hand. He looked up at me and gave me his signature smile. "Hey sis. I'm fine really there is nothing for you to worry about." I shook my head at him.
He left caf had been bandaged along with his right arm. " Hey y/n. Why are you here?" I looked over at Shoto again. "I was with Aiawa sensei when he got the call." I looked back at my brother. "Of course I knew something was wrong when you sent your location like that." He gave a nervous chuckle and scratched his head. "Sorry, thats all I had time to put in the group chat." I smirked. "Learn to type faster then." We all chuckled.
I glanced finally glanced over at Iida and noticed that both of his arms had been slinged and bandaged. I stepped towards him and place a had on his shoulder. The bandages went all the way up and over it. "Jesus, what happened to you guys?" I asked as I closed my eyes and began assessing his injuries. "We had a run in with Stain." I heard my brother say. I snapped my eyes open and turned to look at each boy and landing on iida who refused to look at me. It was so unlike him to not look someone in the eye. Something awful must have happened. "It'll be alright though. Stain was defeated by Endeavor and Grand torino. We were able to hold him off until they got to us." Izuku said but as he explained his voice went up and octave just slightly. If I had been anyone but his sister, I probably wouldn't have noticed. I arched a brow over at him as he struggled to keep eye contact with me. "Alright....? I'll pretend that I believe that story." I heard Aizawa chuckle in the corner where he had sat in a chair. "Y/n, your way to smart for your own good."
I smirked at him but closed my eyes again and began to really look at the damage iida had sustained. It was pretty extensive to his arms. As I was about to begin to heal him the door opened. " Oh no you don't y/n." Recovery Girl's voice jolted me back and I turned to look at her. "Don't even think about using anymore of your quirk. I just got done talking with Cora and Colin." I huffed. "I'm fine Recovery Girl. I was trying to help." She walked over to me and guided me to the fourth bed in the room. Making me sit down on it before she continued. "I understand your need to help others in pain but you have to take care of yourself as well. You used quiet a bit of your quirk already today and iida is not in any immediate danger."
"But his arms are..." She cuts me off. "I know the extent of his injuries dear, but you need to rest as well. Once you have recovered you can take a crack at them but not before. You are barely on your feet now. Honestly, I'm surprised your even awake right now with the training that Aizawa and myself have put you through and then you came here and help even more patience. I'm so proud of your hard work, but this is a lesson you need to learn now. Running yourself into the ground for others will only get you so far. You have to take care of yourself so that you can help even more when the time comes." She pushed me down to lay on the bed. I huffed in frustration again before snuggling into the pillow. "Get some rest alright. They will still be here when you wake up." Even though I shook my head at her, the drowsiness quickly set in and I feel asleep.
When I woke the next day, Shoto was getting discharged. I quickly healed his arm before he left even if he protested. Saying that it wasn't that bad that it would heal on its own. I took a look at Iida again. I couldn't do anything yet till they did surgery on them. There were to many fragments that would have to be taken out first. His mother came had got him a few days later to transfer to another hospital to get it done. The last person I checked on was my brother. His injures weren't to sever but they would have still left nasty scars on him so I healed him up too before Aizawa came and got me. Now that everything was beginning to settle down we all had to go back to work. Which meant that I had to go back to training and my own work study. Fortunately, Recovery Girl decided to let me off for the rest of the time so I could focus on training with Aizawa. Saying that I had done such an excellent job at Hosu that my reputation was growing. The staff had been very impressed with me and she was proud to be my mentor.
On the other hand, that meant the Aizawa sensei had full rein over me for the rest of the week. Which I will now always refer to it as hell week. My body was always sore after a full day of training and then several hours of patrol. The only saving grace I had was my nightly bubble bath that help sooth the aches in my body. Although if I was honest, I was loving every second of it. The training may have been grueling but Aizawa was a great teacher and one of these day I was going to nock him on his ass. Just maybe not anytime soon....
