Trapped

I woke up in a dark area. I started freaking out. I got out from under the covers and looked outside. Sunset. I had slept all damn day. Wow.

I figured since I was up I could go swimming. I pulled out my black bathing suit and slipped it on. I stalked downstairs and saw gwen at the counter drinking a glass of water. I walked up to her but she is in a blank daze.

"Gwen?"

"What...."her voice cracking.

"What's wrong?"

She takes a short breath like it hurt.

"Um. My sister persephone..she was in a car crash and she's in the hospital....I called the hospital and they said she couldn't have visitors."

"Oh my god..."

She nods. I give her a hug and kissed her temple. I continue walking outside and walk onto the sand. I drop my towel and phone and walk into the nice, lukewarm water of the Great Pacific. Once I'm hip deep I see something move in the water. My face goes pale. I start running as fast as I can to shore. Once I made it I looked back breathing heavily. I saw a seal. Swimming around. A sigh of relief came over me and I laughed it off. I grabbed my towel and walked back inside. I went through the basement doors and walked into the warm area. I wandered up the stairs only to be greeted by another set. I walked up those and made it to my room. It was dark. Soundless. Like everything was frozen in time. I walked into the bathroom and changed into pajamas. I walked back to my bed and slid in. Burying myself in the linen covers. I took a breath and it was like all the memories I had were being played over and over in front of me. A tear fell onto the fresh cleaned sheets as I remember when I arrived at nashs. Hayes hugging me like I was the only person he saw. I can't lie. I do miss him. But Jack he hasn't treated me bad at all. He is sweet, caring, loving. Why didn't I listen to him.

Maybe I'm starting to have feelings for him....
