"Rocky!" Elle shouted, banging on his bedroom window. Lucky for Elle he was on the bottom floor meaning Elle only had to stand on tiptoes to see his curtains.

His curtains flew open and she was almost hit in the head by the window swinging open too.

"What?!"

Elle laughed at his current state. He was only in some basketball shorts with his hair looking like a rat's nest.

"Did you forget what today is?"

He shook his head, yawning loudly.

"It's campaign day! Get dressed, we have to go set up."

He groaned but complied. In twenty minute they were loaded into his pickup truck and on our way to the school.

"Is there a reason we had to be up at 7:00?"

Elle rolled her eyes while applying the finishing touches to the poster, "So we can get to the copier first. People will be coming through the front doors at 8:15 to go to their lockers and cast votes in their homeroom. We should set up at the front with flyers and tell people to vote for us."

"Us?"

"Yeah, I found out you need a vice president to run so when I got you fully registered the other day I put myself down."

He rolled his eyes.

"Hey you wouldn't be doing all this would you?"

"No," he sighed.

"And how badly do you wanna win?"

He thought for a moment before nodding, "Pretty badly."

"Exactly. So be grateful for my ambition."

He laughed and rolled his eyes.

"Besides, I heard from a little birdie and some people from school saw Tommy's little outburst at the karate tournament and didn't like the fact he was picking on our romance."

"Oh?" he said, raising his eyebrow, "Who is this little birdie?"

"I overheard some teachers talking about it in the office when I got us registered."

He nodded, "Nice. That's good right?"

"Oh it's very good," she smirked.

He threw the truck into park and we hopped out.

Elle sat her bag down on the bench right outside the main entrance, "Take these and go make about 200 copies."

"Why so many?" he said.

"I got permission to hang one up near the door of each of the teachers' classrooms," she said.

"Did you really think of everything?"

"Yes," Elle responded, "Now go because I'm sure Kat is thinking the same thing."

Rocky grabbed the flyer from her hand and went to the front office.

She pulled out a notebook and went down the checklist of everything that was supposed to do before Friday, aka today, aka election day.

Registration? Check.

Flyers? Check.

Candy? She looked in her bag and pulled out the bag of candy and the scotch tape. Check.

Rocky came back out with a giant stack of papers, she split them in half before pointing to the bag of candy and tape, "Tape one piece to as many many as you can."
