Boy oh boy was this fic a rollercoaster.
I started this fic back in April, I had hoped to finish it in the span of a month but unfortunately life got pretty crazy. I had a lot going on with school, and writers block, and more school, and eventually it was just my own negative thoughts holding me back.
Wanna know what kept me going?
The support and love you readers gave this fic. Every single comment, vote, and message I got for Checkmate gave me the motivation to try and finish it, so really I have all of you that have been there for me to thank.
And I'd also love to give a massive thank you to pezzbosch who has motivated me (and sometimes bullied me lovingly) to work on this project. I'm so excited to mark this as completed and add it to my collection.
As for new projects, I have one in progress and one I'm still throwing ideas around for. I learned from this project I do better when I wait until the story is completely finished to start posting it.
