The next day Elle sat awkwardly at Ernie's waiting for Rocky to arrive. He had called her that night and told Elle to meet him here for milkshakes and to discuss their next move as student government.

They had decided to elect Billy Cranston, another one of Tommy's friends, treasurer and Adam as secretary. The pep rally for homecoming was approaching quickly and they needed to discuss what ideas they could submit to the student council.

Elle checked her watch. He was now forty five minutes late.

She knew she should probably just go but a stupid part of her brain was telling her to stay and wait for him. Maybe he was just running late.

Elle shook her head to try and get rid of those stupid thoughts. She grabbed my bag and stood up.

As she was about to walk out she saw Rocky finally come through the entrance.

"Hey, I'm glad you're here. I was just about to leave."

"Sorry, I got tied up helping Adam."

Elle sighed, "It's alright. So I was thinking for the pep rally we could-"

His watch went off again and Tommy poked his head in the door, "Rocky!"

"Sorry Elle, I'll be back in just a little bit I promise."

She furrowed her brow, "What?"

He took off around the corner, Elle shouldered her bag and went after them but as she flung open the doors they were gone. Nowhere to be seen. She looked over to the parking lot to see their cars were still there. Something weird was going on.

She huffed before grabbing her bike and taking off. Once again she found herself in the park trying to ride around to calm her nerves, she went off onto a different path this time but heard a blast go off. The same Rangers she saw yesterday were flung to the ground about 50 feet ahead of her.

She jumped off the bike and ran over to the closest bush that was blocked by a tree. She peaked her head over the bush. The Rangers had been corralled together and were tied to the closest tree by the Cogs.

The red one was still holding his sword but the Cogs had tied the chains so tightly they couldn't move at all.

Elle looked up, seeing the same low hanging branches she could climb up to. A plan began to form in her head.

The monster was placing a giant box near a giant tower.

"And now Rangers, this box will explode taking down the entire city's power supply with you along with it!"

The monster cackled loudly and Elle pulled herself up and into the tree, trying her best to keep the leaves from rustling. The Rangers must have heard something because the pink one looked up, spotting Elle and tapping the red one beside her. He shook his head no but Elle climbed over the long branches and into the tree they were tied to.

"Now, where did I put the detonator?" the monster said, looking around in the grass next to him.

Elle jumped down, landing as softly as she could behind the tree before starting to tug at the chains. The yellow one looked up at her, Elle put a finger to her lip before pulling a pencil out of her pocket and jamming it into the lock.

"What? Where did she come from?" the monster shrieked, she looked up to see the monster pointing his sword at her, "Get her!"

"Oh crap," Elle said.
