He was kind and gentle, but what I liked was the respectfulness from him. A guy with a deep mind and protectiveness over his craft. His eyes were dark and reflecting the clouds as he talked about how he found this little coffee shop.

" I like to walk in the rain and listen to the thunder... It kinda gives me time to think, but today she had a lot to say" He chuckled lightly, wiping his wet hair out his eyes.

His jacket is shrugged off and he's sitting back comfortable talking to a stranger, I admire it.

" yes.. she did" I was wondering how I come to meet such an interesting guy, by interesting I mean familiar. He seemed like an old friend that I could listen to and say anything. His eyes were oddly familiar and friendly.

"I'm sorry but have I met you before? you seem very familiar..." I sat up a little straighter contemplating his next words, he just smiled.

" I was about to ask the same thing, you feel like an old friend. " I squinted my eyes and smiled a bright toothy smile.

"Maybe we met in another life?" I was just joking but my heart skipped a beat, maybe I was right?

He leaned in on the table with his elbows and mimicked my smiling expression, " Well I wouldn't be mad at that... Such a beautiful girl couldn't have escaped my mind so easily."

I leaned in on my elbows also, smiling a bit bigger,
" and such a handsome guy like yourself couldn't be sly enough for me to miss."

Aramis

Her dark brown hair following the curves of her shoulders and back. Her eyes glistening with humor and happiness. Her pink plump lips are shiny with small laughter. She was a great listener, very observant, and interested in small things.

An interesting girl she was, A familiar old friend from another life?  My breath hitched when she suggested it. Maybe she was right.

" Or maybe we are timeless lovers searching for each other in every life and timeline." I almost made myself have a heart attack when I said that. My heart constantly skipping beats.

" Ah... Well I have myself a very stunning soulmate, don't I?". She sat back in her chair and crossed her arms over her chest, smirking.

" and I am very blessed to have such a gorgeous soulmate to chase after... aren't I?". She smiled bigger shaking her head chuckling.

I also sat back and took a sip from my hot chocolate, looking into her eyes to find any truth to our suggestions. Her eyes sparkling with words she didn't dare spill.

" So my dear soulmate how do you feel about stars?" She asked while taking a sip from her tea, her coffee mug hiding everything but her striking eyes and lashes.

" I love stars. They hold many stories about soulmates almost as good-looking as us, trying to find each other again." I smirked and at my statement.

" Yes that is true, we are the best looking... sometimes it's hard to not feel bad for people less attractive than us. But I manage well." Her eyebrows went up and she tried to contain a grin.

"I don't think they'd be able to compete with us. It's a loss before an attempt." I grinned back and we broke into a fit of laughter. Tears pouring out our eyes as our jokes ran through our heads. Jokes with an old friend.

Maybe an old lover?
