Derek X's POV

I just won HOH and the thing I am looking forward to the most is getting a letter from my wife.

I met and fell in love with my wife on the first day of college. I guess you could say it was love at first sight because I instantly fell in love.

I still remember the day that I asked her to marry me.

*flashback*

I am holding my girlfriend's hand and we are walking down the beach. Then we stop. I look her in her eyes and I get down on one knee.

"(Y/n) I have loved you ever since I first saw you. You make me so happy and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I love you more than you will ever know (y/n) (y/l/n). (Y/n) will you marry me?" I say as tears run down my face.

"Yes. I would love to" (y/n) says and I give her a hug and a kiss before putting the ring on her finger.

*end of flashback*

I have been married to (y/n) for almost a year. It broke my heart to leave her in order to do this game but we both understood.

I miss her like crazy and can't wait to read her letter.

I walk out of the diary room with the HOH key and yell, "who wants to see my HOH room"

We all go up the stairs and I unlock my HOH room.

I immediately look at all the pictures of me and my wife. The pictures I have are of us on our wedding day, us on our honeymoon, and (y/n) with our dog.

I grab the letter and open it. I start reading the letter out loud.

"Dear Derek,

Wow, where do I begin? First off I am so proud of you. I watch the live feeds every day and I am so happy you are HOH. I hope you know that while you are away I continue to fall in love with you more and more.

I have some exciting news that I just can't wait to tell you. So here it is. You are going to be a dad! I found out a month after you left. I am so excited for this next part of our life together.

I love you so much and miss you like crazy. I can't wait to see you.

With much love,

(Y/n) and Baby."

I immediately burst into tears. I'm so excited to have a baby with (y/n).

"Oh my gosh. I'm so happy (y/n). I love you so much. I'm going to win for you and for our child" I say into the camera.

I'm so lucky to have (y/n) as my wife and I love her so much.

I can't believe I'm going to be a dad.
