We got to a restaurant that had a fair amount of cars outside. Jabu stepped out and opened the door for me.
I stepped out and he took my hand. I felt safe as we walked inside together. The restaurant was full but not that full. In the far corner sat a man with a hat on. He wore a shinny black suite with a black hemp.
His eyes met mine and I saw a resemblance of Jabu in them. Jabu and I walked to the man and he pulled the seat out for me.
When he sat down, he put his hand over my thigh and he began to tremble. I rested my hand over his and gave it a squeeze.
"Jabulani," the man said. Oh my soul, Jabu hates his full name so fucking much. "Richard," Jabu greeted. "This is Yandiswa. My fiancé," he said. That's not my name, but he must have a reason for lying.
"Sawubona intombazane," he said. "Mholo mhlekazi," I responded. Okay, this man greeted me in Zulu and I answered in Xhosa for what?
"We're here for business. Not to be social," Jabu said. "Of course. Now, tell me what you're planning on doing," Richard said.
"I want nothing to do with drugs. All I want is one billion in cash," Jabu said. "And what does Mpumelelo want?" the man asked.
The door swung open and Mpumi walked in. Fuckkkkkk! Was this part of the plan?
"Yandiswa, Jabu, Richard," she said and sat down. She had black tailored pants on and a hemp. Her hair was freshly cut and she looked absolutely stunning.
"One billion," she said and served herself the whiskey that sat on the table. "Cash," Jabu added and Richard sat there in shock.
"You're out of your fucking mind," Richard chuckled. He made some sort of signal that Jabu and Mpumi didn't see and I pulled the gun out of my hand bag.
The loud noise in the restaurant allowed for me to switch the safety off and hold the gun in my hand.
Richard smiled and got up. "First, you and your bitch here kill my brother and then you want a billion rands? Now, you die," Richard said and I felt cold metal against the right side of my head.
To the corner of my eye, I could see another gun on the man that stood next to me. Should I? Should I not?
"Let the game begin," Mpumi said and all the people that sat in the restaurant got up and pointed their guns to Richard.
I pointed my gun to the guy on my right and pulled the trigger without thinking and blood spilt over my dress.
"Maya, fuck," Jabu said. Gunshots filled my ears and I felt myself feel dizzy. I pulled the gun that the guy had on his waist and pointed both of them to Richard.
"One fucking billion rands," I said to him. "Okay okay, look. I don't have the kind but of cash on me," he said with his hands up.
"So send it to Henry's account," Jabu said and the man typed something speedily on his phone.
Jabu handed Mpumi a phone and she opened the bank app. "It's in," she said. "Spread it around our accounts. He could reverse it," Jabu said and pulled Richard's phone from him.
My phone buzzed at the same time as Mpumi's and Jabu gave Richard his phone.
"For all the trouble, send another million," Mpumi said. "You're fucking crazy," the man said. "Are you really talking shit when you have two guns pointed at you?" Jabu asked him.
He typed on his phone and the phone buzzed with Mpumi transferring the money as soon as it got it.
"Don't fucking play games with us," Jabu said and got up. "It was lovely meeting you," I said to the man as I wiped my fingerprints off of the other gun and placed it on the floor.
"Wish I could say the same," Richard said and I smiled at him. "See you in hell," Mpumi said and shot her uncle in the head.
"You didn't have to wipe the gun," Jabu said to me when we got outside. "Why?" I asked. A loud explosion set the building that we were in just a few seconds ago on fire. Fuck.
"What about the car?" I asked. "I came with the M8 that you guys left at the spot and the ghost has been taken care of," she said.
"What about the business?" I asked. "Sold it to our mother a long time ago for one million," Jabu said.
Oh my soul... what the fuck is going on?
