Today's the last day of school and I can't wait to go out with my friends for two weeks. We head for Cape Town tomorrow morning.

I haven't been able to have a decent conversation with Mpumi for the past two months so I just started avoiding her.

I'm healing, you know? Even though I feel like things are gonna be kinda weird when we go out but hey, she's not an enemy, right?

Argh, whatever. I can't wait to drive to Kimberley later today with my girlfriend. Didi and I decided to give our relationship another try and it's been great so far.

The time read 08:14 when I finished getting dressed. We need to head out at noon if we want to get to Bloemfontein around 18:00.

Yeah, I should've started packing yesterday. Now I need to pack and I'm already late for class. I'll just bunk. It's the last day anyway.

I only have three medium sized suitcases. I need a big one for these two weeks. Uhm... phone, keys and purse. Good.

I walk out of the dorm and my eyes meet Mpumi's. "Hey, Maya," she smiles. "Hi," I respond flatly.

"Where are you going?" she asked. "I'm going to buy a suitcase," I reply. "Oh. Okay then," she says and I start to walk away.

"Maya, wait," she says and I stop. "We need to talk," she says. "About what?" I ask. "Things ended really badly between us. Now, you can't even stand me," she frowns.

You're right. I can't stand you. I just want to slap you and leave. "It's not like that, Mpumi. I jus- I feel like it's pointless. What's there to talk about? We never spoke. We just had sex. Lots of it," I say to her.

"I lo-," she says and I stop her. "I have a girlfriend. I'm trying to move on. Let me go," I say and walk away.

I get into my car and shockingly, I don't feel like crying. I feel great.

*

The time was 09:27 when I started packing. Finding a suitcase was a real struggle but yeah, whatever.

Luckily, I already bought a few outfits and now I just need to pack them.

*

Packing was such a drag and it took me almost two hours to finish. I just need to change my outfit and I can head to Didi's place.

I slid on a short summer dress with with white sandals and gathered all my things. I made extra sure that I take everything because I'm not ready to come back here looking for what I forgot.

"Oh hey," I greet. Ora stood just by the door and was about to knock. "Uhm... can I take that?" he asked and I nodded.

Ora walked with me to the car pulling my suitcase with his right hand. "Okay so what time will we see you tomorrow?" he asked.

"I'm not sure," I reply. "Where are you going now?" he questioned. "Didi and I decided to leave today. But we're heading to Bloemfontein. We're gonna go to Cape Town tomorrow around 05:00. We're ready for that 10 hour drive," I say.

"We all head out to Bloemfontein at 14:00. I'll text you when we get there," he smiles and pulls me in for a long hug. Warmth fills my body and a smile grows on my face. He gives really good hugs.

"By they time you get to Bloemfontein, we'll probably be sleeping. I'll just text you the location of the hotel we're sleeping at," I say and he nods.

He puts my suitcase into the boot and gives me another hug that got cut off by my phone ringing.

"Uhm... you have a wife?" he chuckled. "Of course I do," I laughed and answered the call.

Me: Baby?
Didi: Where are you?
Me: I'm about to leave res now. Why?
Didi: I'm about to leave work. Whoever gets to my place first isn't driving today.
Me: I hope you don't mind stopping in every town we pass through and buying me stuff.
Didi: I hope you let me touch you while you drive.
Me: Fine Didi. I'll see you in just a bit.
Didi: Okay mamas.

"Ora, I really need to go. I don't wanna drive," I say to him and wave bye. I get into the car and drive off.

Didi is so much more closer to her place than I am. It's a bit unfair, I believe.

*

I got to her place and look around for her car. Great, she's not here. Didi gave me a key to her apartment so that I could come over anytime.

I walked in and looked for something to eat. The door opens and my eyes met Didi's.

"Ready to drive?" I chuckled. "Whatever. I was driving slow for you," she lied. "Were you really?" I laughed.

"Okay fine. I'll just go get my suitcase. My car or yours?" she said. "Uhm... I don't really know," I replied.

"Since I'm driving, we'll take mine," she said and disappeared.
