For those confused Laysia and Imani have the same dad but Damien(their dad) brother Damari took her in cause Damien ain't want her so she calls him dad. Laysia is the baby of the family.
Malaysia POV
"You ready to see them?" Dad asked as we pulled up to my mom's drive way.
"Yeah" I said unbuckling my seatbelt and getting out the car.
Once my dad was out the car as well he locked the doors and we went up to her door. He knocked on the door and we waited for someone to answer. A couple seconds later a dude opened the door.
"Hey we're here to see Daja and Imani" dad said.
"Oh you must be Damari and you must be Malaysia" he said making me shyly wave.
I have social anxiety so I was afraid of saying the wrong thing even though all I could say was hi.
He let us in and he showed me to Imani room cause Dukes ain't here right now. Once at her room I saw her door was closed so I knocked.
"Who is it?" I heard her say but I ain't answer and just knocked again.
"Leon if you don't stop knocking at my do- sissy" she said opening the door realizing it's me.
"Hey" I said hugging her.
"Oh my god I missed you so much" she said looking at me.
"Dang you got big" she said.
"Girl you acting like you that much older than me" I said going in her room and sitting on her bean bag.
"I see you remembered about the no outside clothes on my bed" she said sitting on the other bean bag.
"Yeah damn OCD head ass girl. Aye so who ole dude that opened the door that's Dukes manz?" I asked her.
"Yeah we have a little brother he's one, you gonna see him when ma comes back" she said making me smile.
"Ok I see dukes. I'm happy that she found someone better then the nigga" I said I don't refer to him as dad.
"Yeah I don't even know what she seen in him" she said making me laugh.
"Where the other nigga at?" I asked referring to Quez.
"Dead" she said nonchalantly making me smile.
"Shit finally I was wondering when that nigga was about to die" I said making her laugh.
"So what's going on with you and Hakeem, everybody was sending me the video of y'all kissing on live" she said smirking at me.
"Girl one that's my bestie and two it was a dare. But what about you, you still crush on Jahmir or y'all mad it official I've seen the post" I said winking at her.
"Nobody like Jahmir Carter" she said making me laugh.
"Girl you know you love you some of my brother in law. But where the second musketeer where my favorite cousin at?" I asked her making her shrug.
"I don't know, I called her yesterday cause I was supposed to be helping her with her love life but she ain't call me back" she said.
Right when I was gonna say some the dude from earlier opened the door. I think his name Leon cause that's what Imani said earlier.
"Aye sorry for not knocking but y'all moms asked if you can keep T occupied while she cooks" he said I'm guessing referring to our little brother.
"Yeah come on little sis" Imani said getting up.
"One you not the older then me and two help me up cause you know I got bad knees" I said putting my arms up.
She helped me up and we went downstairs. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands cause I know how dukes is then I went to the kitchen.
"Hey dukes" I said seeing she was cleaning some wings off.
"Hey baby I'm so happy y'all down here so I can spend more time with you" she said washing her hands and giving me a bear hug.
"Dukes. I. Can't. Breath." I said trying to get air.
"Oh I'm sorry I'm just so happy to see you my baby" she said.
"I used to be the baby I see you replace me" I said sounding sad.
"You still the baby, you the baby of the girls" she said making me fill a little better.
"You right imma go meet him" I said walking out the kitchen.
"Den me built ship with wegos" T said talking to my Dad.
"While that's cool little man" dad said smiling at him.
I went up to him and sat down next to him making him look at me.
"Hi baby me name T" he said.
"My name is Malaysia but you can call me lay" I said smiling at him.
"Lay like chips?" He asked.
"Yeah" I said laughing.
"Aye Laysia can you come help your sister cause it don't look like she know what she doing" Leon said.
"I do know what I'm doing this damn paper don't know what it's writing" I heard her say.
"Here I come" I said.
I gave T a high five before going to see what they need me to help with.
