Jayvion POV
After class I was heading to the cafeteria for basketball try outs. The only reason I'm trying out is cause I want a after school activity that's not hood shit. While walking their I see Neveah fine ass walking their to.
"You know cheerleading tryouts is outside" I told her
"Does it look like I have a body for a cheerleader" she said
"Shii I mean" I said licking my lips and rubbing my hands together while looking her up and down
"Boy bye I'm trying for basketball stupid" she said
"Their ain't no gir- hell nah what makes you think coach finna pick a girl" I said
"So what you saying is you don't think I'm good" she said
"Nah I'm saying you can't keep up with us boys" I said
"Bitch" she said walking away. I grabbed her by her wrist to pull her back
"Be careful with that bitch word" I said
"Nigga let me go" she said tryna pull her hand away
I let her go and we went to the cafeteria. The coach was just telling us to do exercises and shit. To my surprise Neveah was keeping up but that don't mean shit. We went outside to the basketball courts.
"Jayvion and Neveah do a one on one so I can see if Neveah can keep up" the coach said
"So you giving shawty a chance" I heard someone say
"Yeah and Jayvion is one of the best players Neveah you don't have to beat him but you have to at least be 3 points under him" coach said
The game started and she was keeping up good. She has a real nice shot like she only missed two shots when she did 3 pointers. When we were done she was only behind 1 point cause I got the finial score.
"So what was all that shit you was saying by not being able to keep up with you boys" she said looking at me
"But I still won" I said sticking my tongue out and putting up my middle finger
"Jayvion put that finger down and Neveah language" coach said "oh and Neveah you on the team everyone else the paper will be on the door of my office so y'all can see if you made it"
"Is that for me to" I asked him
"You made it to now go on y'all" he said shooing us off
"So neveah since we most likely teammates can I have that number" Kadence said
"Move along" she said walking away
"That's why I ain't want yo stupid ass anyway" he said
"How am I stupid and I have straight As and you couldn't play the last game of the year cause you had Fs oh and also we ain't teammates cause who spot you think I took" she said and everyone started to laugh
I mean she ain't lie coach was telling us that he can't have Kadence on the team cause he ain't trying to bring his grades up. He said the next person that can keep up with me and has good grades is taking his spot. Kadence just walked off mad bumping Neveah.
"Bit-" before she could even finish I picked her up and carried her to the parking lot
"Okay you can put my down" she semi-yelled
"You need to control yo self" I told her
"I was but he bumped into me that's his fault I was bought to stab him" she said
"Bought to what Veah"
"Nun but I gotta go bye teammate" she told me
"You walking" I asked her
"Not home but to the café right there" she said pointing to it
"I'll just drop you off" I said
"Nah I'm good I like to walk there it helps me calm down but thx for the offer peace" she said walking away
Well okay then. I went in my car I ain't leave until I made sure she was at the café safely it's really not that far of a walk. Once I saw her go in I started my car and went home.
